I am sorry I posted this topic. I knew as soon as I posted it, that it was going to sound like flamebait, but I was in a funk over reading fairly in depth about all the U.N. has done to/against Isreal and I just wanted to point out some positive accomplishments of Isreal compared to their self proclaimed enemy.
It was basically meant as a commentary against the leadership of the Arab people. I truly feel that all people are created equal with the same potential to excel. I believe its ones surroundings (parents, peer and mostly leadership) that introduce our limitations. I also think the doctrine of hate that is being taught to the youth are draining all of their energies into non-productive pursuits. It just seems to me that a mind bent on destruction has little or no time for creation.
As far as the Nobel prize being a western thing until lately, why is that? Do you honestly think the Nobel committee is/was racist? I know that there have been great Arab societies in the past. Many of the ancient wonders of the world came from the Arab people. I do not question that, I just wonder what happened to change that? Why isn't the Middle East and most of Asia truly a mecca for both art and science.
On a sadder note, racism showed its little ugly head in an email that was sent me from an anandtecher.

I know you think i sound racist, but trust me i don't have a racist bone in me. I know what jews are like, and how they operate in businesses and in personal life. Its too bad Hitlers dreams of exterminating all jews failed.
The reason there is so much war and suffering in the middle east is because of jews. Jews run the US government. Did you know the US contributes 3billion dollars yearly to israel, and only contribute 40million to palestine. Did you know the israel army is 4times as powerful as the american army. wow. Sure, jews have contribute to medicine and other noble winning stuff. But who cares. as long, as they work hard, so we don't have to. We can sit back and watch them work, like slaves.
Afterall jews have been slaves for hundreds of years. Why stop know. Germany in the late 40s had the right idea. To put all jewish scum to slave labour, because they make brilliant workers.
I really hope, maybe in the future, we can finally get rid of all the jews from the face of the earth. when Iraq, iran, or Palestine acquire a nuclear weapons i wouldn't be surprised that they use it to exterminate the jews with it.
AnywayOne thing i do like about the jews is their women. They have very nice figures and big %$*#. I wouldn't mind raping err...%$#&ing a few jewish women. You know what i mean.
