Ok, I used to be a Assistant Manager of a CompUsa. And I dont blame you for laughing at the guy. Now CompUsa doesnt pay $6.00, it starts at 7 but most get paid 8 starting, and yes that is all over. But never the less. Most of the people that get hired at Compusa are not all the dumb, but not all of them know about everything in the store, that is what you have to realize. But yeh the guy should have gotten someone that actully knew what they are talking about. Instead of trying to make a sale. CompUsa sales are commishion now, it wasnt when I was thier. So yeh they are going to try to BS there way through everything just to make a sale. But what pisses me off were the poeple who expected our Top PC computer guy to know everyting about our Apple Section, or that everyone in the store even the Cashiers should know about DV Editing. And stupid stuff like that.
Edit: And about the Warentee's. Yes sales people somtimes do MAKE the customer purchase them. We would have done anything to sell a Warentee. The ONLY thing in that store that CompUsa actully made money on were the Cables, Media, and the Warrentee's. Some Laptops too, And Apple have a pretty good markup. But Most of the time on Computer systems they would only be marked up $30-$50.00. Where a Printer Cable that we sold for $30.00 would actully only cost us $3.00
