MOHAA - last level (?)

I am in the mission in Schmerzen station or whatever its called where I have to release the mustard gas and blow the place up. I just planted the charges, made my way to the elevator, and advanced to the next section of the mission, where my only objective so far is to "exfiltrate the base."

My problem is, I dont know what to do. From the elevator, I can only go forward; turning left results in instantaneous death. When I go forward, I kill two germans, take a left, then run up two flights of stairs. There are enemies at each landing on the stairs. When I kill the second dude, there are 3 or 4 guys in a room to the left. As soon as they see me, the stuff in that room explodes, killing them. This is where I am stuck. If I enter the room, I die. If I go back down the stairs, I die. What to do?

You're too slow. You have to keep running the entire time or you get caught in the explosions of the place going down behind you. If you stop for even a second, you're dead. Good luck. I finally beat it after trying about a hundred times. If you think it's hard where you're at, wait until you get to the last room and try and escape to the train...

I'm not certain where you are, but the in final room you exit from there will be one enemy visible on your left as you enter that room and one not visible in a room to his left. When you shoot the visible enemy, the exit hallway will be to right of the visible enemy.

You'll have to shoot your way out of the room and exit hallway, with little time to do so as the room explodes rather quickly.

Try to get into that room with health of at least 60 and both assault rifle and smg loaded. You'll need the health, since you have to shoot your way out facing about a half dozen soldiers, and switching weapons is faster than reloading. Replay from last autosave if necessary to get there with health and loaded weapons and save immediately when you get into the room - since it will probably take several attempts to shoot your way out.

Shoot the visible guard. You won't have time to deal with the other guard - ignore him, since he'll soon be blown up. Run quickly to the hallway opening, crouch INSIDE the hallway mouth and shoot the guard who rushes you and as many as possible facing you. You can't pause inside the final room or you'll be blown up when the room blows.

Change weapons and blast your way out to the health pack and exit the fenced exit-way. When you've finished the outside ground-level soldiers, there will be tower guards shooting at you. The train will be there, but the door will not be open for you to enter the boxcar for your escape.

Try running to the right side of the compound, turn and shoot the tower guard facing you. About that time, the boxcar door will open - run for it, jump in and watch the fireworks as the fort blows.

Whoo! You werent kidding about that being hard! It took me like 20 tries to beat the part that dunkster described.... Man I was getting pissed too.... three times, I had killed off all the guards, the train door would open, I would run towards it, and just as I was about to step into the boxcar, another sniper would shoot me... Argh! But at least I'm done now

20 tries...sheesh I probably tried that 69 times. I had low health so had to go back to a previous save so, like dunkster said I could have full health and full ammo. That damn sniper got me too the first time i cleared the guards, thank god I quick saved. I was kinda surprised that after the train left, the game was over. Anyone else?

Yea, me too.. I would have tought that after that last scene, which was intense, there would have been a little more hoopla for finishing such an awesome game.. oh well.. maybe they were saving it for MOHAA 2..

hehehe......

Yeah.......run and shoot.....just keep runnin' and shootin'. I thought for sure I'd have to go to dog mode to get thru that. Actually, I did go to dog mode once. Omaha Beach, at the bottom of the bunker. No way I was gonna keep tryin' that run to each crater. Just too much perfection needed.

I'd read that the ending was a bummer......and it was. Watching the credits was more interesting.

WOW................ thay really was a difficult stage of the game.

Would have thought that they could have made a better ending, but as the saying goes, keep 'em wanting more!
