Molten Pricemistake! 8 MKIV-12 SUPERNOVA - 23.18 Shipped!

Here's a price mistake for the day, AudioImpact is selling the MKIV-12 SUPERNOVA sub that retails for 1100+ for $0.10 + shipping. If you buy 8 at once it's only 23.18! It's worth a try for all you guys out there that want a kickass sub!

This could be a scam or something I am not guaranteeing orders to ship!

Be careful if you order without calling. They may just charge you the unadvertised price which could be over a grand. :Q

Shows up as $100.00 on the details page and in cart now. Weird, I would assume that if they corrected the price they got it right the first time, but this is still a 90-95% markdown.

A couple of things... I decided to jump on this, when I got there it was listed as $.10, and I added it to my cart, then I looked around the site a bit, then the price jumped up to $100, then I noticed that the MKIV-15 SUPERNOVA (Was: 3,000.00) was also on sale (Sale: 100.00) so I added that to my cart, then just for kicks, and because I need a new set, I added some Pioneer Bookshelf speakers (hey, at this point I don't think it can hurt anything more).

I also happened to get a printout and save of the main page, which listed the 12 model at $.10 on sale, isn't that where Kodak got in trouble in Europe? When they advertised on their main page as a sale? Anyway, we'll see what happens I guess.

Oh, and as to reputability, I'm customer #6xx and my order is #7xx, so take that as you will, I'll let whoever else look up the domain info and whatnot.

God these people are stupid. They correct the 0.01 price with $100, then they change the product page to show "can't show on internet price" and show up as $10,000 in the shopping cart. The frontpage still is at $100 though.

Atleast they tried...I think the idea of lawsuit appeals to me : they advertise the price as $ 100 and then charge you $ 10, 000 for the same item!!

Hope noone here gets burned with the 10k price via a bait&switch. Judging from how many people say AT is making them broke, I would think most would have a credit limit <10k, so GL. From fryguy's stat of 5xxth customer, this seems scammish.

EDIT: Seems that instead of simply changing the price to $10k, they made the page http://www.audioimpact.net/Product.asp?ProductID=1243 (their normal system) have a redirect to a specially created page http://www.audioimpact.net/mkiv-12.asp , which when u add to the cart is $10k. I believe that the normal page's price is still $100, and that is why it still shows as that on frontpage and search.

EDIT#2: Last speculation confirmed, managed to stop the redirect via several attempts w/ stop button, and when u add the old page, it still adds up to $100.

The first time I put it in my cart, they ended up being $10,000 each. I figured at that price I better order 8 as well, to get the shipping down...

The second time, they were $100 each. Now that is a little more tempting. The price keeps fluctuating though......

It did that with my order as well at first. I had made a slight error on the mailing address which resulted in the internal error. I corrected it and had no problem placing my order after that.
