This wasn't worth the hype. Deals are pretty slim and don't meet my needs/requirements.

Maybe the shopper response has helped Joe learn the hazards of building high expectations with that countdown mystery crap?

If the rebates were instant then some of it wouldn't be so bad, but the majority is after MIR which = not worth it. On top of that, I would have to pay taxes because the shop is on the otherside of town from me

You are definately in the minority: Nothing I couldn't get off price-witch, without rebates.

Yeah, I fell asleep and was worried I would miss out on some hot deal that would surely be sold out. Glad I did. Nothing I saw that I couldn't live without. Not terrible deals, but nothing spectacular either.

He must have been reading the prices upside down... you know... 9's become 6's and the like. Just wait 'til he gets his CC bill.

Hey all, if you ordered on this deal, PAY ATTENTION TO THE DATES ON YOUR PACKING SLIP and INVOICE. They are DIFFERENT.

In my case, the packing slip was dated 11-24 and the Invoice was date 11-28, NEITHER of which fall within the 11-25 to 11-27 rebate promotion period for ANY of the things I ordered. My OCZ memory also didn't come with ANY UPC code on it, even though the rebate form CLEARLY calls for one.

This does not appear to be the best-thought-out sale of all time.

OMG... if this happens to us what are we going to do.... man I better get a full refund including shipping or else I'm going to be pissed. This was clearly their fault and if they don't correct it then they are taking advantage of those who thought they'd get a rebate back. This calls for some negative reviews on resellerratings and BBB.

Me starts to hate monarch now...

Let's wait and see how Monarch handles this before jumping to any conclusions. All they have to do is re-issue the invoices with the valid rebate dates. For some reason, their system invoices you with after your order has shipped and puts that date on the invoice rather than the actual purchase date. Not normally a problem unless you're dealing with rebates in a very narrow scope of time. You would just think they would have already been aware of this issue considering they promoted the "Beat the Clock" sale for 3 days prior.

Then, I phoned Monarch. MonarchJoe was at lunch, but I spoke with another service manager, Jeremy, about the problem. He now has an account as Monarch Jeremy so he can reply right away about how they would handle the problem.

For more help, they live in one of your favorite area codes: 800-611-0875

I would like to thank all of you for shopping at Monarch and encourage you to continue to post any issues you might have here and Joe and myself will do our best to answer any questions you might have.

Rebates: The invoice date most of the time is going to be the date the actual product ships. The good news is that moments after you place the order you get a sales confirmation email outlining the purchase. You can print this out and it works just fine for rebates.

I understand of course that people will delete emails, so if that?s the case of it you have any other questions about the process then feel free to give us a call on the 800 number and we will do anything in our power to help you out.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Jeremy,

The rebate forms all call for a SALES RECEIPT / INVOICE. The confirmation email ONLY has the Order number in the Subject Line, and does NOT list any of the items purchased. Couple that with the different dates on the packing slip and actual invoice with a Monarch logo, and you're just begging for rebates to be denied.

I've literally done nearly 1000 rebates and had 100% of them approved (sometimes with issues, but they've always been approved). The documentation you are suggesting we submit is just begging for rebate denial.

The most satisfactory solution would be to re-issue all incorrectly dated invoices (like mine, dated the 28th) with a date of 11-25, 26 or 27 so there isn't any confusion.

Also, the lack of a UPC on the OCZ memory (Monarch Part# 140671) is a serious problem when the rebate form calls for the original UPC.
