Anyone have experience with them?

Here's the cliff notes on that:
Monarch voided my warranty.
I called BS, and they said it's not BS.
I got all the facts, and called BS some more.
They backed off, and have said they will actually change their policy.

Now I shouldn't have had to go thru all this crap in the first place, but they have realized that their policy is outdated and intened to change it. I do give them credit for this. Overall I think Monarch is fine, they maybe just need to listen to the customer a little more.

I bought a system through them, and I was very satisfied. They were quick to answer my emails, and kept me updated on the status of things. Haven't had reason to employ their warranty, so can't speak as to that.

I just got finished building a new system, ordered the mobo and cpu from monarch and the rest of the stuff from newegg. I was overall very impressed with monarch. The parts were shipped the same day I purchased them and I received them early in the morning 2 days later. Packaging was very good and the stuff works like a charm. Good luck.

I can't say anything about monarch because I never used them, but I'm really annoyed with ZZF.

They are up there with newegg in my opinion.

Ordered at 2pm EST, and the mb and vid card were shipped by the end of the day. I got it two days after I ordered it. (Yesterday). ZZF got me the proc/memory but took 3 days. ZZF has a longer initial send out time it seems.

Overall, I was REALLY impressed with Monarch. I'm not sure yet about ZZF. I think Monarch's speed just made them look worse . We shall see if everythings working though.

As of right now, I'd say yeah go with Monarch.

FYI, if you can manage to find $289 worth of more stuff on their site that you want, you can get it for $80 off/$720 (ie. 30% off on the additional stuff you buy) if you use an Amex card to buy it

Just got my 2nd order from them a week ago and it was as flawless as the first and the price was very competitive too. Solid e-tailer and their techs actually respond to concerns and complaints here which is another plus.

Monarch upgraded my ground shipping to FedEx 2day shipping for free. I didn't even ask nor was I even in a hurry. If I was in a hurry I would have gone picked it up. I only live about 35-40 minutes from Monarch. If I didn't have to pay tax for being local, I would buy most of my stuff from them. But because of the evil tax, I usually buy from Newegg.

Monarch has 9/10 resellerratings which is similar to Newegg. They are great computer etailer.

I am impressed by that 9/10 resellerrating. I think I'm going to go with them to build my next system $50 for construction seems reasonable to me.

Does their quote page include shipping?

Did you order the mobo and CPU as a combo assembled by Monarch, or each piece separate and assembled yourself?

If a combo, I'm wondering just how much testing they really do if it was shipped out the same day, unless of course they already have preassembled mobo/CPU combos already tested.

I've no idea. I only buy parts from them. Most of the item I buy have free ground shipping or if it's not I go pick it up. There's no way I'm paying both tax and shipping.

I just got a motherboard/cpu combo from them. I wanted to switch cpu's minutes after I orgers, and it really threw a wrench in the works. I didn;t get it for 10 days, but they threw in an HSF for free, and had good comunication. Go with them if the price is good.

I ordered a lot parts from monarch for my first build (which is almost done now). Asus A8N, Corsair twinx1024-3200xlpt, a floppy / memory card reader, and my BFG 6800 gt oc. All came 2 business days later, and all were in perfect condition. Awesome prices, although they do sometimes fluctuate. Also, if you live in California, like me, no tax just adds to the great shopping experience.

I definitely recommend them.

I've noticed that some of the items, like this OCZ modstream, aren't available for selection when tryin to build a custom desktop. Anyone know if you can pick and choose items from the parts side and then still have them build it? $50 for building is definitely worth it to me, plus a warranty.

I have had good experiences from newegg, monarch and mwave.

Actually newegg is probably the least satisfactory even tho I have ordered there most often.
No issues with items or service but delivery is usually an extra 2 days over mwave or monarch because it takes an exytra day to start processing and another to get it to fed-ex. My last orders were at monarch and newegg on the same day. I paid for 2 day fedex from newegg and got free fed ex saver from monarch yet got the monarch stuff 2 days sooner because they sent it out to fed-ex the next day while newegg waited 2 days.

Newegg is simply bigger so I generally go with the one that has the best price of those 3. Less and less has that been newegg.
