I agree that NO company is perfect. From my perspective though, I'm willing to pay a premium to avoid these "mishaps"

I actually took the winter off work. That's why I've been online a lot. However my vacation is just about over. I'm gone for 14+ hours a day normally, and I do not have the time to deal with these situations. So to me, it's well worth the premium to avoid any mistakes (as much as possible) at all costs.

My point is... Fine, take a couple extra days to ship. If that will help to insure that it is correct, then I'm all for it. People have different priorities. My priority is accuracy at all costs. Some people want the cheapest prices at all costs, even if that cost is accuracy.

I've ordered from zipzoom for years and have never had an issue even when cross shipping items and such I highly recomend them to anyone as for Newegg there prices have recently been higher than zzf but I always play the two of each other.

I'm glad that is your point. Because that's an excellent point. Unfortunately, some people will "cheap out" almost EXPECTING lousy service. Some people cheap out and expect GREAT service. These companies simply go out of business in two years time.

It's a shame that a company can't strive in this industry without a hint of everything we all expect. Low prices, fast shipping, accurate orders and great communication.

It simply does not exist... at least not for every single order.

Honestly i haven't ordered from any of these companies... I buy directly thourgh Distrubution.. If you have your own corporation and a sales-tax ID you can signup with the distrubitors and get all the products at wholesale price and get free shipping on top of it....

Orders! Unless you've ordered from them dozens, and dozens of times, this shoulds not be plural. You got a free hat, who cares about the hat. That's just free advertiesing for Monarch anyway.

Riiight. there shouldn't have to be any "feather ruffling" whatsoever. I don't consider that good CS. Perhaps you just have a lower standard for what you consider "good" customer service.

So in your perfect world, every company gets every order right and gets it to you on the exact day you expect it...riiiigght.

The point is they responded to the problem in a professional way and made it right. THAT is the mark of a good company. In the case of Monarch, the problem wasn't even their fault, it was the mobo manufacturer's. Monarch stepped up and took the heat for the manufacturer. I will trust them in the future and you should too.

My "world" is "perfect" Interesting comment, to say the least. Of course they should try to make it rite. That is expected of any company, especially if they'd like to stay in business. So you got a free hat, and that makes you "trust" them? You're easy to please. I'm sure Monarch wishes all customers were as easy to please as you seem to be.
your expectations need examining.

I beg to differ. Like I said before, your standards need to be raised. Well, they don't actually need to be. If you're happy, then more power to you. It's just that I have no desire to put up with companies that have to frequently "rectify" bad situations that other companies do a better job of avoiding in the first place.

Read the post pal, NEWEGG screwed my orderS up and NEWEGG sent me the free hat, not Monarch. Why do you insist on making this a personal grouch session with me? I simply said I had a good experience with Monarch and they went BEYOND good behaviour and took responsibility for a problem that WAS NOT THEIRS! and who said ANYTHING about frequently...I have had ONE touchy situation with Monarch and IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT. My "plural orders" problems were with the Egg, the fault WAS theirs and they also satisfied them to my "low standards". In your book, I should stop shopping at Newegg, cuz, lo and behold, they screwed up a couple of orders out of the thousands they ship out every day. My standards are fine, I AM happy with ALL of the companies I order from. I have a good relationship with ALL of them and I use ALL of them. They are all excellent companies (Monarch, ZZF, and Newegg among others). I have ordered from all of them many times (probably over 50 times combined) and I will continue to order from ALL of them as long as the prices are competitive. Newegg has not been competitive lately, so I (along with MANY others here) commented on it. You attacked my "low standards" after I made a single comment about a good experience I had with Monarch. I don't expect any company to make things right, cuz frankly, that's damn rare these days. Cripes, its no wonder you aren't happy...that's a helluva chip on your shoulder.

edit: the cap was from newegg, but it was not a newegg cap.

Whoever said that I'm not generally happy? There you go making assumptions...

What I'm saying is that I think most of these companies put speed before accuracy. That is a shame. It's also pretty of funny that a lot of people here will try to save a few dollars, only to spend that money (and more) on next day shipping anyway.

I don't expect any company to make things right, cuz frankly, that's damn rare these days.

At least I agree with you about that.

DEFINATELY agree with you about that, that's why I was delighted that BOTH companies took responsibility for the problems, even if it wasn't their problem! After having ordered many times from each company, I think they do a great job with both speed and accuracy. Especially when you consider how many orders they fill each day. Cripes, the post office would be out of business if everyone got bent out of shape every time something happened to their mail.

I ordered from newegg, monarch and zipzoomfly last Saturday (it's now 1:51 a.m. Friday morning). Newegg stuff got here (Ohio) Wednesday, the same for Monarch. ZipZoomFly said they needed to confirm my shipping address for some reason, so now the fedex tracking number says it'll be here today. ZZF is definetely slower (from this experience) but as long as my stuff comes to my door in perfect shape, then I have no problems with them and could easily reccommend any of the three...We'll see in about 10 hours if a ZZF box is sitting on my doorstep though.

Fact? Always?

You shouldn't use generalizations.

The "fact" is, they're "usually" faster. But certainly not "always." I have had plenty of orders fall into the abyss.

Another generalization. If I'm only buying < $1000 worth of stuff or are only buying enough to build one or two PC's, I can actually get better prices through Newegg, eWiz, ZZF or Monarch than I can the wholesale guys. And ZZF almost always has free freight. Distributors don't "always" have free freight. You have to spend a certain amount. An amount where I'm already getting a better price anyways (like if I'm building 10 or 15 machines and they can palletize the parts.)

The "fact" for me is that ZZF is ALWAYS the same as Newegg as far as shipping. Orders arrive in 2 or 3 days. Has never been different.

It seems like there are fanboys being born in this thread for etailers. How very weird.

If I order in the AM before 10AM EST both places usually ship out the same day. ZFF order is guaranteed to get to me by the 2nd after I order it. Neweggs can take up to 7 business days. That is the FedEx service though

Comparings apples to apples, the ZZF is FAR cheaper in S/H. To get 2 Day service at newegg is a Lot more than their FedEx Express Saver

This is exactly what I'm talking about. Everyone puts shipping speed as a top priority.

Personally, I have no problem with any company taking an extra day or two to ensure that my order is correct. I don't understand why it is so extremely important for your "stuff" to arrive a day earlier. If your order is incorrect, you'll be waiting a lot longer then one, or two days before it's finally rite.

Thinking about it more, this is partly the reason CS is going downhill. Any good company is going to prioritize what the customer wants (if they want to stay in business). Nobody seems to care about CS anymore, until they have a problem.

I ordered from Newegg this week. Including shipping charges, it was a grand total of $1 more expensive than ZZF for a triple digit cost order. Went with Newegg since ZZF didn't have the color I was looking for for one item and since I've never had problems with Newegg. Placed the order in the afternoon EST and it still shipped out the same day. I missed FedEx when the tried to deliver it a couple days later and they did NOT leave at my door, they left the door hanging sign and release form. So it is at the very least up to FedEx's descretion whether or not to leave packages without a signature, and they should receive some of the blame if they do, as they should know better.

Don't really see the point in arguing who is better, as they are so close in almost everything. It's 6 of one, half dozen of the other. Fanboys of online E-tailers? Sad.

I have been searching best prices by comparing Newegg, ZZF, Monarch, and ChiefValue.com recently, so far, it seems Chiefvalue.com has the most stable cheap price. Moarch's price can get very aggressive some time, but by the time you get in and try to place the order, the price is back up to normal. Among ChiefValue, ZZF, and Newegg, I will say Newegg still is my favorite because their reputation. For price, I highly recommend ZZF and ChiefValue. For Monarch...... I really don't like the way they handle their business. Make a big noise about their cheap prices on forum, and turn around raise up the price!

I ordered from NewEgg, ZZF, Sidewinder, and Cooler Guys 1:00 AM last Thursday. I took the cheapest possible shipping from each. The only boxes that have not arrived yet are from NewEgg. Everything else was here Monday. Given the premise of this thread, I guess I could start bad mouthing NewEgg and swear that I will never do business with them again, but that would be my loss. I'll keep my options open.

I tried em all... ZZF, Monarch and Newegg... I dont think theres a difference. Each one can have problems at certain times.
I'd get it from whichever has lowest price... because a computer is mostly for fun... so it doesnt matter if i have to wait 1 or 2 more days and save 10 bucks...
