I understand that you use it if its there. I'm saying the competition committee needs to get rid of it - I thought they would last off season.

I have no problem with icing the kicker in the tradition way, but its stupid to make them kick twice since they can't see the coach calling the timeout and have to assume the play is on.

I agree with those reasons, thats why they started allowing the sideline timeouts. I'm sure a compromise would be something like no sideline timeouts on 4th down, possibly with less than 5-10 seconds on the playclock.

I don't think anyone, anywhere really likes seeing those last second timeouts. They really kill the excitement of the game ending play and don't provide a substantial advantage (the kicker could just as easily whiff the first one and nail the kick after the timeout).

Holy shit, we won? I turned it off at halftime out of disgust.

That was a tough loss. Our defense played great; our offense got us to where we needed to be. Even that last field goal looked like it was going to miss.

Ray Lewis sent Mendenhall out for the season though, and Ngata got his 2nd career interception

I enjoyed the face on Mendenhall when he walked off of the field...the last time he'll be on a field this season.
