Monitor flicker under high volume?

I have my new kickin system (My Wood) in sig. Love it, but it has one odd qwirk. I have the Logitech z-560 speakers with a santa cruz sound card. Needless to say it rocks. But when I crank it way up my monitor flickers slightly in the corners mostly. It is not that bad really but is noticable. My desk is not huge so I dont have a whole lot of choices as to location of the sub. and monitor so they are close to each other. I was thinking if I could get the sub further from the monitor it may help. But then again I dont think the wiring in this little house is great so that may be the cause. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Another thing...Has anyone w/ the z-560's ran heavier wire for them? If so how much did it help and what guage wire did you use?

Use 16ga for the speakers, and try moving the sub away from the monitor and pump up the volume. If the interference goes away then you know what needs to be done.

Thanks John. Good idea. Have you used 16 guage on your speakers? If so is it a noticable dif. between the small stuff that came w/ them.

The distortion you see on your monitor is caused by electromagnetic field created by the speaker magnets. More power= stronger magnetic field. While using heavy guage wire is always good, the only way you will get rid of the distortion is to move the speakers further away from the monitor.
