OK I just replaced my voodoo 3 PCI with a Radeon 7500 PCI, and everything went good except theres one little problem. Everything works fine, it's just more of an annoyance and Id like to know if its fixable. With the new video card installed, when I reboot the computer, at 2 or 3 points during the startup, the monitor will flicker and go black, and I have to turn the monitor off and then on again to see the screen again. It does this 2 or 3 times during startup, and its kinda annoying, turning the monitor off and on everytime I restart. can anyone help?
Thanx,
Jesse

1. Check to see if PCI is set to be initialized first in the BIOS.
2. Install newest Monitor drivers for your monitor.

Two longshots.... but it's worth a try.

Something similar happens with my Radeon 9800 Pro and my 22" Apple Cinema Display.
With my old Radeon 8500, the Cinema Display would show a proper image all the way from power-up to the desktop. With the 9800 Pro, the monitor will not display an image until the WinXP login screen appears. The bios post screen and the WindowsXP loading image are now run at some timing that my Cinema Display doesn't support (though my Dell 1800FP does).

I have to attach the 1800FP when I want to alter the bios settings, then reattach the Cinema Display when done.

Weird. Never had to do anything like that when the 8500 was installed.

Have you found an answer to this problem yet? I've got a Samsung 191T 19" LCD with a R9600 Pro and I don't see anything until the WinXP logo, either... Thanks!
