While i was moving my monitor from my app. back to to parent's house i think somehow i scatched the surface of the glass on my monitor ... i can feel and see scratches the size of 1/5 of a penny of my monitor screen. My dad said i probably scratched the anti-glare coating off.

Does anyone know of any ways to fix that?

thanks

Not for the faint of heart -

what I did with a Dell Trinitron monitor was used a single-edge razor blade to cut through the film (anti-glare coating) and then peeled it off. But, be aware, this isn't reversible, and you will have more glare. And just because it worked for mine, it may not work for yours.
The glass surface of the screen is really pretty hard, and I didn't create any scratches in the glass by using the blade.

is it possible to replace the anti glare coating after you have removed the scratched one?

well, there are the anti-glare screens that you can buy, and mount to the front of your monitor, but mine is on my 2nd computer, and the glare is not a problem for me.

I'll add that before I peeled the plastic "anti-glare" coating off, I did try various polishes, cleaners, etc. to try to even out the scratch, but nothing worked on mine. I only tried peeling the coating out of desperation, the flaw was big enough that I couldn't live with it, and I was at the point of throwing the monitor out.

Depending on where the scratch is, and if you can tolerate it, I'd suggest leaving it alone.

Do you think that a comp repair shop specialized in CRT Monitor repairing might be able to fixthe problem?

doubt it -but I don't know for sure. I just figured that my 17" would probably cost $50 minimum to even have someone look at vs. buying a new one for $79.99 (after rebate).
