Monitor Problem when booting

Everytime I go to boot up my computer, the monitor says "Power Save Mode is on, Activate by using PC." Pressing the keyboard buttons or moving the mouse has done nothing. I've tried a different video card and monitor. I've also plugged the monitor in and out. Any advice is extremely appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time!

Do you see the POST, and it goes off after that? Or nothing at all when booting?

If you do see the POST, hit F8, choose 'enable VGA mode'. Set your monitor resolution and refresh to something it can handle after it boots...

If you see nothing, we need more info!
