When I leave my computer on and go away for a while, I turn my monitor off. But when I come back and turn the monitor on its gone all purply/bluey/greenish colour all over the monitor and to get it back to normal colour I have to press the degauss button on the monitor control. The thing is that I've heard that you should only degauss your monitor once a week or so rather than a couple of times a day! (that I have to do).
Does anyone know why this is happening. A friend said that maybe it was my speakers. My speakers are really dodgy cheap ones and they used to be always right next to the monitor. I moved the speakers (about ~1m) away but it made no difference.
Can anyone help me with this?
and dod you guys turn off your monitors when you go away for short periods of time or leave them to go to stand by mode?
