Monitor Trouble - Where do I start?

As I was looking at my monitor this morning, the screen flickered and a yellow tinge was apparent on the screen. Turned the power on and off but the tinge was still there. How would I start troubling shooting something like this?

Start searching the HD forum for a new monitor.... but if you really had some l337 skillz you could realign the guns

The first thing you should check is the pins on the connector and or your video card. If the monitor has a connector cord that detaches you may want to try a different one.
Most likely the monitor is toast but try a few things first. How old is it?

Also try giving it a good hard slap on the side - That always fixes mine

but if it is toast...... SMASH IT W/ A BIG STICK FOR ALL OF THE TROUBLE IT HAS CAUSED YOU!!!!

When I checked the connection on the back of the monitor it was practically hanging off. Tightened it up and restarted...that did the trick, monitor is back to normal.
