using DTemp, for some reason it only shows me the temp of my IBM 60GXP drive and not the WD 200BB drive. can't even find a way to select drive.
SpeedFan Charts tab - same.
Everest report - same.
looking at the SMART info, it appears that the IBM returns a value for an attribute called Temperature (ID=C2) but the WD drive doesn't return info on this attribute.
does this simply mean that the WD drive cannot report drive temp, and that's why i can't get this info from DTemp ?
TIA
OK and while i'm at it...
what's considered "safe" temps for a HD?
right now DTemp is reporting 49-50ºC. OK or bad ?
