What's everyone think about this? How does this compare to Catleaps and other Korean monitors?

just careful with the seller. I know the [H] doesn't even allow their items posted in their deals sections. since moving from buy.com to rakuten, there have been an awful lot of complaints about fraud on CC's used on their site.

really havent had any problems with rakuten at all. they are a huge e-tailer from japan, and i purchased tons from them in the last few years. but who knows, maybe they got hacked

At this point, it looks more like somebody at Rakuten is behind it, and they are doing nothing but lip service about it.

The fraud going on is MASSIVE. It seems like any CC information exposed to Rakuten gets sold on the black market and people have been seeing charges within weeks.

Use a service like PayPal or similar (Rakuten, oddly enough, discourages their use!!) to avoid exposing your CC to them.

I have this monitor - bought it through massdrop ~6 months ago.

For the price, its great. However, there are some things you should know.

1) it is very no frills. The picture is quite good* and the casing is nice, but the controls are horrible, and the inputs are incredibly limited.

2) It is blindingly bright at factory defaults, and given the horrible controls, it takes a significant amount of time to tweak everything to uncover the quality picture.

Wouldn't you want to get it through Monoprice.com? They do sales and offer coupons a lot.

Can you still take advantage of there Pixel defect and Warranty coverage if purchasing through other sellers?

I've received 3 PMs about what calibration settings I use. I really didn't do much in the hardware as the controls are very rudimentary; I did extensive software calibration and also make use of an app called "ScreenBright"
