More Americans going hungry

This is the land of plenty. There is plenty of food for everyone.

I dont see anyone gong hungry unless they choose to buy drugs and waste their money.

You can get food if you want to. Go see your local church. I see people giving away money all the time. Our community college broke our old United Way Giving Record. Also I see people giving away all kinds of money in front of the local Wal-Mart for every civic organization on the face of the earth. If people would stay married they would have a happier life.

Do you really want to see people who either cannot work because they are physically or mentally disabled or who simply cannot get anyone to hire them for whatever reason or who just plain cannot find a job at all to starve? Why are you so certain that you yourself will never end up in that type of a situation?

What is your definition of a third world country? Is Mexico a third world country in your view? Would you regard the inner city of Detroit as being third world? Is it necessary for a nation or an area to be completely desolate and impoverished in order for it to meet the criteria of being third world or is it possible that there are different degrees of third worldness?

Check out the government's actions and failures sometime. You don't collapse a system and think violence will not ensure. It is only our peace, I believe, that truly separates us from Africa.

As long as they're not actively church affiliated I'm fine with it. I will not have my tax dollars funding ANYTHING with religious overtones however.
