twitch, did you verify the model #'s? I didn't list the model #'s to all the vcr's but it seems most people know the one's I'm talking about. Not all the vcr's are on clearance. They did just get in quite a few new models.

All I can tell you is go to another Target and scan them yourself. NEVER listen to what the employee tells you because half the time they don't know what's on clearance.

Sandan: Go back in a few days and rescan the vacs. I went Monday to a Target where I live. The Fantom vac was on clearance, but scanned in at $202.99. I went back yesterday (Wed) and it scanned in at $72.99! Needless to say, I bought one.

Just when I thought the deals were all over, I scored a Philips Breadmaker tonight for $19.94. Persistance does indeed pay off!

I also saw two of the 13" Sylvania TV's for $49.94, but honestly I don't have a need for them. I am still waiting for that Fantom Thunder to drop in price!

On a sidenote, does anyone know if that nifty Digital Camera Watch or the DigiBank Watch are going on clearance anytime soon? They had pulled the display in the watch dept. at my store. I think they are made either by Casio or Samsung.

Carmann - You are the BOMB!!!

Over the last several days I have been surveying several local Targets - my retailer of choice - to see if I could find any of the listed items. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first - I had been looking for items from a previous, rather lengthy posting back in mid-to-late January. The only thing I found was a beard trimmer - Norelco T6000 - $17.xx - regular price was around 24/34 bucks, I'm guessing.

Lo and behold - this time it was different!!
I located not one, not two, but three Fantom canister vacs - $72.94
I convinced my wife that she would really like this - we have stairs, lots of dust, have been looking for a HEPA/whirlwind type vac. She reluctantly agreed - wasn't wild about it being a canister. My 7 year old son put it together - he thinks it is cool, and has been helping to clean around the house with it.

Two days later, I struck gold AGAIN!!

Found the woman's 24" Magna bike for $24.94 (082 08 0434)(the cashier was aghast!?!?) a men's Magna 24" (not the 26&quot (082 08 0435), as well as the RCA 4 head VCR - marked down from 99.99 to 49.94(make sure that you ask for the remote) and a camera - FUJI Nexia 220ix for 34.94 (was in the 100.00 range says the sales person) I also saw a Canon Elph2 (?) Green or Aqua color for 34.94 - the same one in blue or other colors is still 79.99!!!

The Tide 200 oz. w/ the sidekick was 9.70, down from 13.99

Carmann, I say again,

You Rock!!!!

Stopped by the Cupertino, CA location to see if they had anymore Dirt Devel vacs for $22. Alas, this one didn't have any either.

Have you guys seen these in other stores lately?

A few Targets every day? Wow.. I'm glad you're sharing the results of your hard work with us, man. I usually stroll along the end of the aisles & look for clearance items on the endcaps & find some good deals.

The thing that I usually get at Target, that people may not associate with that store is cereal. They often have good deals on bulk packs of cereal. The Target in Mountain View even has some cereal on clearance. I just got a few 3 packs with 2 Golden Grahams & 1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch for $5 (each box is 13 or 14 ounces). I also got a two pack box of Frosted Mini Wheats, also for $5 (58 ounces).

I think I saw Kodak DC215 for $178 (reduced price, not clearance)
Can we PM this with Staples and use coupon to lower the price more ?

This thread has caused me to wish I could get my hands on one of those RF guns and just walk the entire store down aisle-by-aisle!!! Really, though, while I'm glad Target offers its customers the "walk-up fixed scanner", having only two spread out over the entire store is kinda tiring... Greedy ain't I?

Man, no louck in two of my Targets I checked. I saw Magna bikes but they weren't the right ones. I was also looking for the breadmaker but they both did not have any stock. Plenty of Fantom Furys and Cyclones, but no Lightning.

Pogo, I'm glad I could help you and others on the board.

I haven't seen a whole lot this week that's why I really haven't posted anything. The other reason is it's hard to know what things people are interested in. If I'm not interested in an item, I usually won't post it.

I did see Motorola Talkabout 250's on 1st markdown only 15% though.

As I see someone is interested in the food items I saw first markdowns (30%) on...
Knotts Berry Farm cookies - 3 boxes cellophaned together with a sticker that says buy 2 get 1 free.
12 pk of Hunts snack pack pudding
4 pk of Chef Boy R Dee Spaghetti - I'm not sure if I spelled this right, I don't eat the stuff
Lg packages of Pop Tarts
Lg bags of Chex mix
bags of Ghardetto's snack mix
3 pk of cereal cellophaned together - I think Kellogs brand
I know there were other items but I don't eat this stuff so I didn't really pay attention

cleaning supplies and such - pretty much ALL of the specially packaged for Target items are clearance. What I mean by this is packs of say Bounce with a bottle of Febreeze shrink wrapped together. They have quite a few combos, 3 pks of plastic wrap, 3 pks of foil, bottle of windex with lg refill, etc. I saw shelves and shopping carts full of this stuff all 30% off.

Tomorrow some of the watches should go 75% off. If you have kids (or just need gifts for kids)they have some cute clock and watch sets (Winnie, Mickey, Minnie) in mini metal lunchboxes. If they go tomorrow (like they should) the price should be 3.74. I'm hoping that some of the animated watches go 75% too. These are pretty sharp. It's a color lcd animation of Mickey jumping or Winnie floating on a cloud. They have others too. These should go for 8.74 to 9.94 depending on the style.

Remember these words when clearance shopping at Target - SCAN EVERYTHING or have someone scan it for you. Don't accept "the price is on the sticker" or "those aren't on clearance" from the employees. They find out what's on clearance from US!

Wingman:

Your Targets have TWO customer scanners?!?! The ones in our area each only have one - what a pain having to trek back and forth across the store to check prices - I don't like to load the cart up and scan a bunch at once - calls attention.

To all a word of advice:

If you frequent a particular store or stores, get to know the regular employees who work in the departments you have an interest in. When I finally made the bike purchase, I asked for help from a young lady who some months ago had helped us track down company contact info for a scooter we had purchased elsewhere.

When I asked her to scan a particular bike,I knew full well that it was one of the clearance items, she got so excited for me when she saw the price. I asked about a few other models that had been listed in the forum - she said the were sold out, but tried scanning a few others that she thought had been put on clearance. BINGO!!

Likewise in the camera/electronics dept. The salesperson was only too happy to find the box and manual for my camera. When i ran back to locate a remote for the RCA vcr, he camped himself out on the floor, pulled out the "bag of death", FULL of various remotes (40+) we took a few minutes trying to identify the possible brands. BINGO 2x!!

Needless to say, these two folks will be getting letters of commendation from me.

I know I'm gonna regret posting these items because the d@mn lurkers are gonna snag them before any of you will but here goes...these items are at the Target on Bloomfield and Del Amo

Janes Air Superiority Set 9.94 - I put this on the top shelf in the back of the electronics dept. It's the endcap next to the clearance endcap
8mb Smart Media Card 6.24 - they have 3 of them in the case with the digital cameras. They are on the bottom shelf. 2 are in small boxes, 1 is in a big box

In the Furniture Dept (near the vacuums)
Drake Collection Printer Stand 19.94 (reg 79.99)- Solid wood not wannabe, Dark Maple finish (I think that's what it said) I was extremely close to buying this but I have no use for it. It looks good. Has an upper shelf for printer, then an open area beneath that, and another storage area with a door on the bottom. It doesn't say 19.94 anymore, I peeled the sticker off. It shows 39.XX.
Drake Collection Computer Desk 64.90 (only 50% off) - same as above

I saw a Philips Juice Extractor on an endcap near the furniture. It was an open box but it appeared to be in perfect condition. I didn't scan it but the sticker showed 16.24. I know some stores have marked them down further.

Saw new markdowns in the auto dept, different auto lightbulbs, something called a personal portable power pack (small & heavy in a shoulder pouch), saw a vector power pack (blue color, lg full size). These were on 1st markdown.

The Tide powder detergent is on clearance too. This box has the free Tide Tablets on top and it says 63 loads.

I did score a few more GVII (Gloria Vanderbilt) watches. These went 75% last week. They are in the LARGE white vinyl boxes. They have some on clearance now in boxes that are smaller. If you see any boxes that look larger than the others, have them scan them. The watches are a bangle style with interchangeable faces and/or bands. The clerk didn't believe me when I told her they were clearance and when she scanned them (5.44 - reg 24.99) she screamed. She found about 8 more boxes under the counter but they disappeared in less than a minute, her screams drew alittle too much attention.

Ooohhhhh Yeeeaaaah! I banged at one of two local Target's last night for the $300 vacuum Fantom Lightning (canister model) being offerd at 72.94. Pooped out on that store. BUUUUUUUT, visited the other one during my lunch break today...and...yes...oh...yes...hark! and lo & behold, but the other store had a single perfect unit still in stock. No evidence of the price reduction. And since someone snagged my cart (before I got to the vacuum cleaner section) while I was looking through the electronics section -- I had to hump the vacuum all the way to a scanner to get the price verified. After a wrestling match trying to get the vacuum under the reader correctly to get a price...JACKPOT!!! $72.94!!!

Muchas gracias!!! I have a whole new respect for Target!!!

PS. We have a carpeted stairway on a wall-to-wall carpeted 2-story. I'm gonna like this canister vac cuz its even designed to rest on the stairs!!! And my wife's gonna appreciate the hepa filter given her allergies (we won't get into the 4 cats that SHE wants in the house...)

Good for you W1ngman! The items are still out there you just have to keep looking.

Another thing to keep your eyes on is the Razor Scooters. Not all stores carry these but if your store does, scan them. Some stores have them 50% off, others are already down to 75%.

Well I finally scored an electorshock bike, 2 of them to be exact. One for me and one for the wife. Came out to be $40 even including tax. One was $24.99 and the other was $12.99 I think... Kinda strange, I was expecting to pay $20 a piece... But either way $40 for 2 bikes is great for me to tool around the neighborhood. Thanks to all who have posted these target deals. I am still in the hunt for one of those $300 vacuum cleaners, have a couple more Target's to check tomorrow.

Keep posting those deals...
