Thanks for the RAM info Is0s. I usually get 1 big stick and call it! As it is, I've already had 1 particular DIMM slot in my dual-Xeon eat 2 sticks of ECC registered (Crucial and Corsair), so I'm not a happy camper when being forced to add more than 1 stick in anything. :frown:

And LOL@the red devil neffers Yes, others have taught me the tricks of the nef trade (but then if you add up my posts here with my posts on Ars and DSLR, well...heh)!

Oh and Stanman - thanks for the heads-up on the multiplier adjustments. I figured that since that board is probably like my dual-Xeon Supermicro board, which is basically for server-use, it's naturally not geared towards us obsessive OCers!

EDIT: /me wonders if ConfusedBW likes this latest nef DP. ]

Yeah thanks for the heads up IsOs....although if i get this then with the current price of DDR then i doubt i'll be getting more than one!

And also i doubt i'll be overclocking the 1G Axia's with pumping them up to 1.33 with upping the FSB to 133 from 100!

Poof, i love the DP

conjur - what CPUs are you putting in there? I haven't even looked for any yet since I'm still reeling after putting together a P4 Northwood system barely 2 weeks ago! :Q

Well, Poof.

I'm torn between dual XP2000+ or XP1800+. Since the board doesn't offer any o/c capabilities, I was thinking of loading it with as fast a processor as I could cheaply afford. I think I'll end up with the XP 1800+ chips as I could use them as backups in my other dual XP1800 setup if need be

Newegg has the 1800+ OEM at $123.00 and the 2000+ for $215.00 a difference of $92.00 per processor. I think sticking with the 1800+ would be a good idea

The next AMD processor price drop is going to be April 15th You know you need your fix, you want dual XPs you know it

Don't feel too bad I am about to embark on my new mission to create a diskless crack rack. $$$ flying out of my wallet as we speak

I do not know how to do a diskless crack rack, so I just grabbed a bunch of 1.0 gig drives.

/me greets the FEd-Ex guy daily asking for my package

Can this board take 2x256 MB regular (non-ecc) Crucial PC2100?

If yes, anybody willing to find out how much shipping to The Netherlands is?

Should do fine with only two sticks of non-registered DDR RAM.

I only ordered one stick of Micron PC2400 (CAS 2) for $84 shipped from UpgradeNation.com. As far as Crucial, have you tried here?

Athlon XP 1800, 512MB PC 2100 ECC DDR SDRAM, Antec case with 400W power supply, Alpha heatsink + fan.... Ouch. Gotta love hardware addictions... Now, onto the scsi hard drives...

Which subject? The unrestricted NEFing? Or the nice price on parts?
