Do you use the -local or just use two folders for fah? also what about running as a service?

You have to use -local AND create 2 folders. Run each instance with -local (otherwise it'll pull the client id info from the single entry in the registry and that'll mean both processors will always get and try to run the same work.dat). You should be able to use FireDaemon to run it as a service (I noticed they now have the XP version of FD available )...

Anybody, at first, see very high temps reported in the BIOS setup? I finally got mine together for the first time and have some Volcano 5s atop the Athlon XP1800+ CPUs and the BIOS is reporting CPU temps of 75C and 76C, respectively :Q:Q:Q:Q:Q

I powered down and checked the heatsinks and they were cool to the touch. The heatsinks are making contact and I have Arctic Silver II in use.

Oh, the fan speeds are 2280RPM and 2410RPM (I wanted some quiet fans).

I think mine is at something like 48C, but I barely glanced at it and I could be very off. The socket that doesnt have a cpu is at around 76C I think

If I remember and feel like rebooting Ill check it.

Must be just something goofed in the BIOS.

I downloaded the Tyan System Monitor software and it shows 43C and 46C.

Has anyone been successful in putting a normal 32-bit PCI card in any of the 64-bit slots? My two are filled, right now, with a video card and a NIC, and I tried putting a Promise UltraTX2 (ATA 133) in one of the 64-bit slots but the machine wouldn't even boot.

The only pci card (other than nic) in my machine is a 64bit card, sorry. But if I change my memory settings to eccp the computer wont boot :/

you cant put a 32 bit card in a 64 bit slot.
but you can put most 64 bit cards in 32 bit slots.

i actually wish they had more than 64 bit slots.
i really wish they were pci-x slots
( i have a bunch of tyan 2466n machines)
