Have to admire some of the kookier right wingnuts around here. Even the most conservative scientists don't deny that the planet is warming, the controversy is by how much and by what mechanism. It's impressive that you guys can maintain denial of what's now a basic, established scientific fact. Up is down.

While I consider myself Republican, I dislike polarization of the parties and "the other side is always wrong" mentality.

Ive no doubt that man made pollution is not helping what may or may not be a natural process. In other words, we should do our best to control our waste streams and use renewable resources over fossil fuels if given a choice.

Thats great, but what does that have to do with a 4 inch above sea level chunk of land?

Nothing, I was commenting on the comments made by other users like
Shens. Global warming is a lie.
What high world temps? We've been through this already in that the data produced by the "scientists" was cherry picked and weather station temperature readings from colder climates were omitted from the formulas to produce "global averages".

Did all you 'tards miss the fact that the island was rocky?

It wasn't sand. While it was certainly eroding, it's not like it was sand.

I agree. In this case however, the Republicans are stupefyingly wrong and getting more wrong daily. The refusal to consider that the current climate change is caused by human activity is beyond comprehension.

Just tell me who to send a check to so this can be reversed. I'm convinced we can control the climate.

Not jumping to conclusions over a tiny little rock != refusal to consider current climate change.

Speaking of polarizing douchebags....

When I was in high school in 1972, it was an established scientific fact that we were entering an ice age.

Climate change "science" has nothing to do with world temperatures and everything to do with power and money.

Yes, you are correct.

Your chances of being stabbed to death are greater in Oakland.

Your chances of tripping on a homeless person doing heroin are greater in San Fran.

Your chances of being bored to death are greater in San Jose.

Bay Area really is > OC!

Yeah, but the homeless people are much more creative about begging for money. You don't see "Need money for pot" signs in OC, nor do you see a guy in a trash can saying "I'm Oscar and need money to get back to Seseme Street" in OC.

:awe:

San Jose is certainly boring. I never go. but SF + Berk + Oak are better than your suburban shithole. (dodging bullets and sharp edges is exciting).

Also, Muir *, Half Moon Bay, Pt Reyes, various Redwoods > concrete.

Also, Napa + Sonoma > ....nothing? Santa Barbara? yeah, whatever... have fun with your mudslides and fires.

SB is useful for one thing.

I think I found a new use for my gas guzzler; ending international arguments in Southwest Asia. I'm helping make the planet better!

global warming isnt the cause for the sea rising... its all the waterdisplacement from increased shipping and sunken ships.

This man is on to something here. Add in tire reefs, more and more fat americans snorkeling on vacation at any given time and all the space dust we collect every day, I'd say we've got maybe 1-2 years before Water World is reality.
