We no longer need nebulous polls to tell us what the GQP base believes.

We now have a mandate from them directly at the polls. And overwhelmingly, the extremist candidates who embrace batshit conspiracy theories are winning the primaries.

Proof that batshit is FULLY mainstreamed in the GQP now. The Republican party is officially the party of anti-vaxxers, science deniers, election deniers, democracy destroyers, Qanon cultists, ethno/white/Christian-nationalists, useful idiots for fascism and conspiracy whackos.

There is seriously not a single redeeming quality left within the party.

2012 was the last year I ever voted for ANY republican. And will be for the foreseeable future.

That I cannot deny.
But some of these candidates may have been assisted by an open primary, and some folks gently pushing along the weaker candidate they would like to face in November.
Doesn't change the truth of your words. Whatever those nutters are, the GOP is wholly endorsing them. I've not seen otherwise.

You forgot the white nationalists. One of them even said when confronted for attending a white nationalists supported event...

"so what!"

The Q crew is pretty big. I've run into a few of late and it's an eye opening experience.

The problem is there is both money and power in the crazy belief structure. I read a blurb from a fellow who's doing very well with donations to save kids from the sex trafficker's. The fellow won't say where these opps occur, what happens to the kids he saves, how he finds them, or even show a picture of them. I sometimes wish I was crooked enough to get in on the gig.

Yep, since the GOP base still voted for that shit.

GOP primary voters thirst for total lunatics is not something the Dems are manufacturing with relatively small ad buys.

Such complaints strike me as a coping mechanism to deal with the fact that their party has drifted into insanity and they're looking everywhere but in the mirror for somebody to blame.

This is their tactic. One must demonize your opponent fully, and in todays world the best way is to simply falsely claim or falsely link your opponent to sex trafficking and to pedophilia. If the goal is to completely destroy your opponent then what better way than accusations of pedophilia?
After all, everyone just hates a pedophile. True?
If you accuse Joe Biden of pedophilia then Joe Biden becomes not a president but your worst nightmare. A monster. It's all a tactic.

And this tactic is working because what the Q's believe and what all these Trump endorsed candidates believe, and who are winning by the way, they all believe what they are doing and what Donald Trump is doing is saving the world from evil, sex trafficking, and pedophilia. Saving "the children". This goes far beyond politics. Far far beyond politics. Pretty horrifying stuff that they are trying to pull off, and like I said.... it's working.

Ah, the classic, "only Democrats have any agency in government".

Newsflash, Republicans saw the ads paid for by Democrats that said the candidate is a fucking lunatic, and then they shit all over themselves and then rubbed it in their hair before rushing out to the polls to vote for them.

REPUBLICAN VOTERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE FASCIST CLOWNS GETTING ELECTED.

This has all been in my face and unfolding since around September, 2015.

I was hoping to have some camping and fishing trips in my sunset years; but I'm tethered here as a caregiver. The news is on the tee-vee constantly. I flip to different streaming services for relief.

I've run out of movies to watch. I have cabin fever. Under the circumstances, I can't even go to a bar for some brewskies. Not without my 3M car-painting mask, the rubber gloves, the clear-plastic shop goggles and the woodland camo parka shell. And -- a long drinking straw. Doesn't sound like you could enjoy a drink that way.

I have wishes for the Trumpers. They are not good wishes, and they are not nice ones. Also. Aren't all the reports of crop circles from Red states? See, I have this theory about the GOP Base . . . .

If the theory is correct, and there are things your anger could push you to do, then Jesus wouldn't care . . . . "Independence Day" . . . .

The more the suppressed rage that is the GOP expresses, the less is bottled up. I think that is the meaning of the expression it is darkest before the dawn.

Do you know the one about the guy in the insane asylum who tied a string to a mop handle and dropped it into the mop bucket? By mid morning when asked by a doctor if he had caught anything he answered 'you're the third one today'.

WSJ Just posted this article like and hour ago.

Yep. And they are not just election deniers. They are anti-vaxxers, science denialists, COVID conspiracists, derp state conspiracists, and in some cases white supremacists and Christian nationalists.

The GQP is officially the batshitter party with a platform (NOT FRINGE) of nearly 100% pure batshit.
