More proof the police will shoot anybody - all recent shootings

Recently a lot of attention has been given specifically to police shootings that involve black victims along with attempting to instill the notion that this is a race specific problem which I don't buy in to. In the case of white victim William Porubsky the police gunned him down in the streets not long after he sought help at a local hospital.

The popo are equal opportunity and will shoot anybody irrespective of their race, age or sex and this is a truth that people need to get through their heads. Too much gun play combined with a lack of accountability have brought us to this place and I believe that this needs to change.

HI is just about the only place a white person would encounter even 5% of what blacks have to go through in the rest of the country in terms of police misconduct and bullying, and that's only because you stole their islands and a significant # of (true) locals are in the force. A little resentment is understandable. At least they aren't resenting you for merely existing. And most won't experience any problems. How many black people can say they haven't been harassed or bullied by cops? OP be tripping.

OP, that's my main beef with the protests out there making it into a racial issue. It's not, and if they were simply seeking justice and not racial justice it would clear things up and invite a lot more Americans to participate. Far greater chance to achieve something productive.

Whatever happened to the cop that shot the unarmed australian woman justine damond? She called the cops to report a potential crime and when they arrived one of them shot her through the closed door of the police car. Did the cop get prosecuted for that? If that happened in australia he would be strung up by his balls.

Brother when I read the details about the most recent St. Louis shooting I was enraged by the circumstances and I didn't know anything about the cop or the victim. When I studied law in school I didn't know the race of the people in the cases only the circumstances and I get angry on behalf of people being wronged period. I don't even care about race at all and only see people just as it should be for everyone. We have a long way to go before we can declare ourselves to be a civilized people.

Like a judge dredd kind of thing? It just seems odd that a cop can shoot an unarmed woman through a car door and then have the full support of the police department as if he hasn't done anything wrong. I have read that she had a phone in her hand. I wonder....and this is just a theory I am working on... if the ready availability of high powered firearms in the US forces the police to just assume everyone is armed. So suddenly a phone becomes a gun.

And the woman dressed in her pajamas in a well lit laneway in an affluent neighbourhood is a mortal danger. Or maybe the guy was just poorly trained and for the cops in the US their go to option is lethal force. Or maybe the phone rang the cop got startled and had no choice but to open fire. So many excuses....

Pretty much. Once in a great while a DA will charge one, but they will over charge and under prosecute to make sure there is no conviction.

Plus so many people in the US are brought up worshiping authority that it is nearly impossible to find 12 people that would ever all vote to convict a cop on anything.

That's kind of disturbing because if the cops are already being told they can get away with murdering unarmed citizens. Then it's not that difficult for them to make that type of behaviour systematic if they are told too. The US is a violent society but I suppose most are...

And I mean shooting someone because they tackled you? Really? To me it suggests they are poorly trained with their first option being the use of lethal force. I do not think that all US cops would react the same way either...and to be fair there are a lot of factors.

But shooting someone becaue they got physical or shooting them through a closed police car door.... That sounds like badly trained idiots who unfortunately have authority and a gun.
