oh yeah i haven't been in OT for awhile and not sure if you know this already but Xolox is back too. I find it faster than morpheus, kazaa, ed2000. on files with scores of 15 or better, i usually get up to 170KB/s. also i find Xolox to have way faster searches and better quality mp3s.
<< It's a gnutella client? That sucks. I can never get anything off of gnutella, plus the searches waste my bandwidth. I will try XoloX. >>
Xolox is a gnutella client too but i've always had very good luck with it. here's the link to where you can get it. http://www.zeropaid.com/xolox/
EDIT: BTW, the zip file contains 3 files. install 1(original version), install 2(patch to make it work again), and a text file. after the first install, it seems you have to allow it too start the program to complete the install. if it stops, just shut the program dwon and then install the patch. re-start xolox and you should be up and running.
<< do i have to uninstall the previous version of morpheous b/c after i downloaded the new preview edition and try to install it, you see the unpackaging, but that's about it..... >>
same here

you guys are amiss without your start buttons...pathetic
you told it where to install to, try looking there!
When you're connected, you can do searches (multiple at once) and you can d/l songs. But it seems slow...I'm only d/ling at like 2.50-3.00kb/s on dial-up. I should be able to do 3.50 to 4.50kb/s. Maybe someone on my LAN is hogging the bandwidth.....
this program is being really really annoying. i think i'm going to go to kazaa. where are those spywares? what are they called? i'm running ad-ware. it doesn't find anything from kazaa?
this thing is a hacked together POS... on the advanced page it looks like its using Limeware for something, then if u change anything in the network settings it says to "please restart gnucleus after changes in lan settings"
so what is this? morhpeus POS edition, Limeware, Gnucleus, or WTF?
a great era has come to an end.
i guess im just gonna get grokester and stick with fastrax, morpheus will be forgotten in a couples months just like scour
Damn, I think I am going to write a spyware stub for the Kaaza DLL. I can't really stand gnutella. It's a really bad model. The old Morpheus and Kaaza models are pretty good.
wtf am i doing wrong... I go to file-> load nodes, on the advanced tab i see it adding connect1.gnutellanet.com, connect2, connect3, connect4, then as soon as they are all there they disappear and it fails to connect to jack sh.it
keep the old version of morpheus installed. then install the beta version. run from your start menu, it will still use the old morpheus interface. It will connect, try it, it worked for me. im dling right now..
