I am trying to decide if I should buy Morrowind? I already have oblivion and plan on buying skyrim when the price drops.
It would be nice to have all three games.
Are you going to really play it? If not, then it doesn't matter if its nice to have, because there will be no difference beyond you being out of more money.
I got oblivion for ~5 bucks on a steam sale and played it for about 10 minutes. Its a boring game once you get out of the very first dungeon with the King. He mentions something about travelling in a certain direction...but instead I walked around somewhat confused and cross the river, killed some enemies, went inside did the deep dungeon underneath only to come up back even more bored because I was like "wtf? This isn't drawing me in why?".
This is after I played about 15 hours of skyrim, and almost entirely ignoring the main quest; I haven't gone to High Hrothgar yet to meet some old Nord farts. Instead I did random quests. Skyrim does a better job engaging the person, and makes sure that the main story has a clear direction first.
Graphics are kind of dated as well....Although I know there are lots of mods to enhance things...it seems like Skyrim does a better overall.
Although I've digressed into a Skyrim vs Oblivion post, the main point is simple:
If you won't play it, then it doesn't matter...so don't get it. I sure wouldn't pay 10 bucks for it.
