Most anticipated 2024 games

Watch the 6 minute video in full. The depth of the story, the potential of creating your own gameplay style and the sheer cinematic value of the experience just seems staggering. If the game manages to be even half of what that video shows, it's gonna be a seriously cool game.

Don't really care about that. The gameplay seems too hectic and the plot seems very, very contrived. But it might be something that may make someone here really look forward to 2024.

2024 looks to be another banger of a year for gaming:

1. Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth (Sega)
2. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Square Enix)
3. Persona 3 Reload (Atlus)
4. Rise of the Ronin (Team Ninja)
5. Hellblade 2 (Ninja Theory)

Plus sounds like we might get the Wolverine game from Insomniac too. P3R will also be on Game Pass, can't wait for it. Of course Hellblade 2 will be too, though I'm kind of worried about Microsoft studios after seeing how disappointing Halo Infinite, Redfall, and Starfield have been.

Grim Dawn's third expansion and Stalker 2 were the only things I knew about for next year. Hoping for Dragon's Dogma 2 but I think it would be far too ambitious to ask for a 2024 release.

Valheim Ash Lands update should be December/ January. Dragon's Dogma 2 would be nice for 2024 but probably won't show up. Black Myth: Wukong looks really interesting and is suppose to be a 2024 release.

I know it's technically a 2023 game, but WH40K Rogue Trader. Forgot that was a thing and realized it's coming out in like two weeks.

Why 40K and RPGs don't intersect more often is a mystery to me, but Owlcat has some pedigree with the Pathfinder games and 40k has more lore and freedom to tell a story than just about any other fictional universe out there.

Biggest worry is Owlcat making too much game. I want a 40-50hr tightly built RPG, not some 200 hour slogfest.

The beta has been out for almost 6 months, been positive impressions so far. The ship combat may not be great but overall the game seems good.

MGR: Revengeance was done without Kojima's active involvement but it was also too hard. I never got past the very first giant Metal Gear. With the new Snake Eater, I'm expecting OK gameplay and pretty graphics but it will be surprising if it's fun to play and replay.

The last real Kojima MGS was the 4th one. Ground Zeroes was cool but seemed too different. For the first time, I don't remember using any gadgets or special weapons. Phantom Pain just seemed too silly and too long for me to get into.

-Oh damn was that delayed? I didn't know when it was releasing, and I still don't, but if it needs a touch more polish I wouldnt fault the devs.

SM1 was a classic 7/10 game. Good first effort by Relic to make a hack n slash beat em up type game, and it was perfectly competently made, but it was missing some spice or sizzle that would have really elevated it.

The standout sections for me were the jump pack sections, if the whole game could have captured the energy of Capt Titus splattering a weird boy all over the floor of an Imperial Cathedral with a Thunder hammer in a death from above manuver, the game would have been a solid 10/10.

Game did a fantastic job showing how deploying three Space Marines to a planet can change the entire course of the planetary war though.
