Here's another odd moment of mine. About 25 years ago I was at a party near a local college. I met this pretty girl, similar humor and interests to mine we get a bit drunk any feely then her friend decides its time to leave. I had a family commitment on Saturday so I tell her lets meet up Sunday night she says that's great her roommate will be gone she's looking to do something since she doesn't know the area. I go home pissed off at her friend.
Saturday I head to my Cousins wedding and the girl from last night is there. Before I can ask is she there with Bride or groom she says don't tell me you're with the Brides family. I was.....we are second cousins. Her Father & my Father have the same Grandfather.

Yes I felt up a second cousin (unknowingly) and yes Sundays date never occurred. What a strange world we live in.

Don't remember the year - 2006? I was exiting off I-4 in Lake Mary, FL and as I was on the ramp I was kind of just looking off down where I-4 continued and saw an object bouncing off cars near the overpass. People slamming on their brakes and swerving all over the place. I later found out that a guy had tried committing suicide by slicing his wrists and it didn't work as well as he wanted it to (or he didn't try hard enough), so he got in his car and drove to the overpass and jumped. He probably bounced off 4 cars that I saw before he hit the pavement. It worked out for him in the end.

Another one was a few years back on 4th of July. Woke up at my buddies place in Harlem hungover as shit and had to catch a cab to the train station to head back home for family festivities. I got in a cab that was an SUV on 135 & Amsterdam heading north. We got about 2 blocks and stopped at a red light. I was just about to put my second earbud in my ear when I hear this firework noise. I thought to myself.... 4th of July, Harlem, yea that makes sense. Next thing I know is people on the street start scattering and jumping behind parked cars, buildings, trash cans, etc. Turns out it was fucking gunfire and that one guy got hit on the sidewalk. He started crawling out into the street to get help. I remember seeing the gunshot wound on his right thigh - his cargo shorts were drenched in blood. A second or two went by and there were a few more shots. I finally processed what the actual fuck was going on, got on the floor of the cab and as soon as I did, a stray bullet went through the trunk driver-side window (remember, it was an SUV). All of this took place in about 4 seconds - it seemed like 10 minutes. The driver was trying to get the hell out of there, but all cars in the area had the same idea - get away immediately regardless of traffic signs/lights/pedestrians. That was pretty fucking crazy....... cab driver ended up driving about 15 blocks away, dropping me off free of charge because he was on the phone with the cab company worried about his window. I made it out alive. :awe:

I haven't had any that stick out like this one instance. My dad, me and my dad's friend were coming down from Glen Haven here in Colorado which is near Estes Park. Well, on the side of the road going down is the Big Thompson river. As we were going back home all of a sudden my dad's friend said, look! Look over there! And I looked to the right and seen a woman in an evening dress type thing standing on top of a rock in the middle of the river just staring at the road. My dad didn't see it and didn't believe it. So he turned around and we went back and she was gone just like that. I don't know what to make of it. I wouldn't classify this as a ghost or anything since she looked very real and there are some small sporadic cabins along the river. The day wasn't exactly very warm either and I was wearing a jacket, but this woman had a very thin white evening gown on. Just one of the most bizarre moments in my life.

I dated (well, sort of, trysted at home) with my 14 year old 2nd cousin. She is the daughter of my father's mother's sister. I was 3 months younger. She had a dynamite figure and I wanted to feel her up bad (I was totally virginal except for my imagination!). All I managed to do was peck her on the lips.

I was driving IIRC from L.A. to Oakland around 20 years ago, was almost there and on the freeway, around 25 miles from my destination with a fair amount of traffic I spotted 1/4-1/2 mile ahead a car suddenly just went up the right steep embankment and flipped backward. I have their top of the line. I still prefer my Etymotics ER4S or ER4P (have both). They are more sound isolating, better fidelity too actually, oh and they don't use a battery. The Bose are good if you need to stay in touch with your environment (you can hit that button). I use the Bose if I want to take a nap in the middle of the day. It filters out ~80% of the ambient noise. Works better for some noises than others. Barking dogs, not so much.
