Was driving a small '26 truck, back in '83 IIRC for my boss who owned a 4 restaurant chain. I would go and pick up crabs, oysters, shrimp and deliver them to all 4. The last stop was Vero beach then I headed back home to Daytona. After you get on I-95 there is a 35-40 mile gap with no exits, one night I saw a large flame up ahead, as I got up close it was a VW bus fully engulfed front to back with about a dozen people watching it burn and taking pictures as well. It was clear that it was intentionally set ablaze, IDK if they considered this a "cremation" or maybe burning away evil spirits.

I'm curious now, what do you mean when you say in transition? You say you identify as female, does that mean you are trying to transition to such, or away from it?

Now there's one more thing I'm curious about, but it's something I'm pretty certain would be bad to ask. Not sure it's safe to ask the internet either. Now if somebody can surmise what I'm hinting at here, maybe they'll know where to get a clean factual answer.

Ever have a dream where you believed it was real in the dream but when you woke up you finally realized it wasn't real at all? Yeah that can happen when you're awake as well.

Air cooled Vdubs had a nasty habit of catching on fire. The inlet to the carb would fall out of the housing, and there's lots of hot stuff under the hood to ignite pouring fuel. I always used a wire retainer on the carb to ensure that wouldn't happen.

It seemed real at first but I had a growing feeling it wasn't. I woke up from it when the feeling it was unreal exceeded the feeling it was real.

Got married back in 2000 in Illinois, in some NW Chicago suburb.
As is pretty typical we had this "wedding memories" photo album which I only vaguely remember, I guess my (then) wife made it. Well wedding pictures, photos of marriage license etc.

A couple or so years later, someone steals this wedding memory album out of my wife's car...which is BIZARRE in itself. I also only remember vaguely, but they didn't actually break-in the car but only took stuff from the trunk, including this wedding album. (Why, I have no idea).

Forward 13 (!) years later. Now it's the time of broadband internet. We had a nice marriage for 7 or so years, but in the meantime re-married, everyone happy with their new spouses. Live 8000 mls from Chicago in Europe now.

Someone on facebook from near Chicago contacted me on fb he found this weird wedding album. He sent me photos, heck yeah, it's me and my ex on our wedding day.

I am totally dumbfounded.

Guy tells us he bought a used car recently and this album was in the trunk. He found us (ex and mine) on facebook because our names were in the book.

I am thanking him and everything, tell him to let old memories be and he can keep the album of course. Definitely a little weird

Thank you for your acceptance. And no, I don't expect "special" rights or privilege. There seems to be some frustration from other members though that grow increasingly frustrated at the LGBT alliance getting all "uppity" while claiming they can just live their lives and be quiet about it. However, so long as the state can and will outright break up a family for no other reason than for falling in a LGBT category, I do not see their protests going away.

I would do so at my earliest opportunity but I don't have the funds. I may have to move to Canada for a few years if push comes to shove. Just about every other country in the first world seems to cover the surgery, while still seemingly charging less for healthcare in the process.

Like I commented to Dixy, don't apologize or walk on eggshells. It can't be a "taboo" subject just to discuss. "Tranny" is pretty derogatory, but you don't use it and have hardly given me any reason to regard you as an asshole. To answer your question, I'm transitioning from male to female. Serious question: How do you know what you're feeling is real?

How do I know? Well hm. I've had these feelings since I was very young, and they never went away all the way through puberty or even up to age 30 when I started the hormones. I've seen my fair share of psychiatrists and professionals over the years and there finally just came a point a few years ago when I decided that these feelings were not simply going to go away. So with my current psychiatrist I made a personal choice to transition. She has been very helpful and supportive to me, both in writing letters to my Endo and in helping me deal with the more day to day snags as they arise.

I cannot articulate to those without such issues as well as I would want what it is like to feel like in the core of your very being you are female when your birth sex disagrees. But perhaps that is for the best as it is a turmoil I would not wish on my worst enemy. But in short, it is something you just know. You are free to disagree of course, but this is my life I'm talking about and it falls to me to deal with it. Personally I would just as soon "shut off" this dysphoria and live my life normally, without all the struggling and scrutiny if it were possible, but sadly there is apparently no on/off switch that I have found. I've been on hormones roughly a year now however and my life has already been the better for it.
