Hymn to the Fallen (Theme from Saving Private Ryan) - John Williams: This one makes my hair stand on end every time I hear it and makes me want to lower my head in memory of all the fallen soldiers.

Various songs off August and Everything After by Counting Crows: Mostly because is was an album that came out during a bad time in my life.

Wonderful - Everclear: This song represents so much of the feeling of a child of divorce that the first time I heard it as an adult, it made me choke up because it spoke to things I recalled feeling as a child.

Good call on "I Can't Make You Love Me". I can't recall off-hand who wrote it but Ms. Raitt does the best rendition ever (BTW that's Bruce Hornsby on the piano).

My vote goes to "Place to Be" by Nick Drake... the whole Pink Moon album could qualify, but this song in particular just hits deep. It's also one of my favorites to play on guitar.

Also I want to give a runner-up vote to Track 8 on the Sigur Ros "( )" album. If I were ever to leave a musical suicide note it would be on it for sure! Beautiful song though.
