The Killing Fields. The part where Dith Pran falls into the lake of dead bodies. Ugh, hard to believe it was based on real life, the Cambodian Holocaust. Makes it so much worse.

I haven't seen the bite the curb scene, so for me it'd have to be the movie I saw last night. Once Upon A Time In Mexico where Banderas shoots Colonel Marquesas with his little double barrelled shotgun pistol in both knees at the same time and it just shreds the guy's knee caps and he slowly collapses backwards.
