Event Horizon wasn't that big a deal to me, never was.

The most disturbing scene I recall was when I first saw Nightmare on Elm Street as a kid. When Freddy starts to come out of the wall at the head of the bed in that movie. I remember I laid in bed awake for hours every night, staring at the wall at the head of my bed scared. Sounds lame now maybe, but as a kid it scared the hell out of me.

Its actually Corporal Upham, but anyways....

I watched a video of an Iraqi that got caught stealing. They had him tied up with rope, and cut off one of his feet and both hands. Simply amazing to watch.

I havent left paved roads since seeing this scene in a movie:

Squeal like a pig for me boy....you got a purty mouth.
more intense:
I Spit on Your Grave "let me use my hand...it will feel good" from the 20 minute mark to the 40 minute mark is as upsetting as that one moment in deliverance.
:Q the bobbitization :Q

not nearly, man
the 20 minute long rape scene is much more upsetting than when the one guy gets de-wenised.
much harder to watch than the Monica Bellucci rape scene people keep brining up.

I actually have "I Spit On Your Grave" on DVD. Bought it as an impluse. Haven't even watched it yet.

I thought the part in The Green Mile when the guy gets the electric chair and the prison guard doesn't put the wet sponge on the guys head first. That was atrocious.

The Second Renaissance, Parts 1 and 2, from the Animatrix had a LOT of disturbing stuff. These affected me in particular:

1. The Robot ripping the guy's head apart
2. The lady being stripped, beaten, and shot, even though we find out she's a robot.
3. During the battle against the robots, one of the humans is ripped out of his machine. His limbs are left behind.
4. The experiments performed on humans by the robots
5. The "suicide" bombing at the United Nations

I think I wish I hadn't seen The Second Renaissance. Not only was it disturbing, but the resolution of Matrix Revolutions completely disregarded anything that happened in the Animatrix.

Yeah, to think of it....that was rather disturbing for animation..... I saw some anime one time that involved robots going around cutting out people's spine while still alive...

I must be the only one here that does not know what "Bite the Curb" is...could someone reference the movie/explain the scene? and is this the same as "Curb Kick"

..there's a lot for me..one that hasn't been mentioned here would be Morgan Freeman opening that box in Seven.

Bve: it was in this movie called American X in which it was a great moving but very disturbing. I won't tell you the plot, but I can tell you that it is a Must See.

I just watched Requiem for a Dream the other day. Watching that dude shoot into his festering arm was pretty screwed up.

That movie you see online with the Russian soldier getting his neck gutted like a fish by the Chechen rebels (? I think it is).

You can hear him yell then gargle as they saw it off (his head).

Of course, thats not a movie in of itself, just the most disturbing thing I've seen ever.

AGREED! That was extremely disturbing!! Especially knowing this happened in REAL life! These Kazaa "faces of death" videos are very intense.

As far as movies are concerned. Biting the Curb scene in "American History X" was very chilling. Same with Lecter feeding Liotta's brain to him--man that is some sick, twisted sh!T! When I was younger, the "Scarface" chainsaw scene did it for me.

Muslim extremists are the most barbaric creatures on earth. Not only do they behead, they skin people alive (Taliban has done this many times). And, during the Kargil "war" between India and Pakistan a couple years ago, Pakistani troops, together with Islamic terrorists would pull the eyeballs out of Indian soldiers and cut their penises off, if they caught them. There is no such thing as codes of conduct when engaging in battle with these people.

Why are people saying A Clockwork Orange is disturbing? That movie had no disturbing scene. I mean, when the movie was released at the time I'm sure the rape scene was "disturbing" but that movie was the least bit disturbing to me.

Can someone please describe this "ass to ass" scene from the Requiem? Sorry, I'm too much of a chicken s**t to watch it myself.

The disturbing scenes that I can think of is Kathy Bates' boobs in About Schmidt, the girl running up the stairs in the Exorcist, and it was hard watching Passion when they were turning Jesus into a hamburger patty.

Bite the curb.

First thing I thought of. That Monica Bellucci rape scene in Irreversible is pretty tough to watch.

Problem with Irréversible is that no one has seen it so they don't know how bad it is compared to Bite the Curb. Although just by sound Bite the Curb would win.
I think the Fire Extinguisher Scene is worse then the Rape scene tho.

Oh, where they just keep bashing the guy's face in? I haven't seen it, but my friends said that's the humanity test; if you can't stand watching that whole scene, then you're human.

Bite the curb and ass to ass are both brutal. The chainsaw scene in Scarface was just nasty. I'm surprised nobody has said anything about the Hell scene from Event Horizon, though.

oh that hell scene gave me nightmares! actually event horizon was the only movie that gave me nightmares

Event Horizon was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. The best parts were when they show the guy after he's gouged his eyes out, and when the guy crawls outside the ship and he's about to explode! Hilarious!

You're a sick man. I had a roommate who LOVES horror movies and he told me he has never been scared of ANY movie except Event Horizon. He kept talking about that scene with Hell and the scene where the guy rips out his eyes. He told me about how that had deeper meanings and it was psychologically disturbing.

I thought it was pretty funny. I'm glad I didn't go to see it in the theater because I think my friends would have been embarrassed by how much I laughed. It weirded them out enough when we just watched it together. :Q

D-day scene in Private Ryan, and the scene, same movie, where the guy gets stabbed in slo-mo while his buddy cowers in fear.

You too, huh?

Not so much the D-day scenes but the stabbing scene REALLY disturbed me.

Out of any movie I have seen that's the only thing that's really bothered me. I've seen most of the things people have mentioned. I saw American History X, sure it was brutal but it didn't phase me. That scene made me fvcking sick to the point I almost didn't finish the movie. Just how he's begging and it's all slow and the sounds. God damn it made me sick!
