Most exciting title of 2007

Obviously since these games are not out, this is not a poll about how good they are, but rather how good they SEEM at this point in time.

I picked Mass Effect, mainly because I was a big fan of the KOTOR series, so I have a lot of hope for that game.

Also let me know if i missed any good ones.

EDIT: I just realized I left out Wii games, any blockbusters coming this fall for them?

Tough to vote...it is a toss up between Mass Effect, COD4, and BioShock for me. Mass Effect may get the nod though.

edit: Potential Wii games would include Metroid, Super Mario Smash Brothers, Super Mario Galaxy, one I'm drawing a blank on, and "collection of mini-games #438".

I added those, and delightfully surprised to find out Smash Bros. is still on for this year (for some reason I thought it was bumped to 2008).

From these games? Well, first, LittleBigPlanet is currently scheduled for February 08... otherwise I would be tempted to vote for it.

You are also missing key PS3 titles like Uncharted, Warhawk, and Ratchet & Clank Future... and key crossplatform games like UT3 and Mercenaries 2. Actually, the game I'm personally jonesing for is Hot Shots Golf 5. I must play the demo every day. Though I wouldn't guess that most people would consider a golf game as the most 'exciting'. For me I would go with Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Mercenaries 2, or Halo 3. Not sure which one I want to play more at the moment.

I'm replaying KOTOR 1 (on the PC at 1600x1200) now after finishing KOTOR 2 and Vampire: Bloodlines, so Mass Effect for me.

Second for me is Unreal Tournament 3, though probably on the PC not PS3. I'm interested in both Lair and Heavenly Sword too, but will wait to get excited until after they're shipping and reviewed.

HALO 3. I didn't feel the hype until I pre-ordered it. I am also really looking forward to COD4, that trailer looks amazing. The movements look so natural.
There are tons of games coming in the next few months, get ready!

I'm really looking forward to Halo3 which is how I voted but Mass Effect could be really cool too. I really enjoyed both of the KOTOR games.

Before E3 it would have been Halo 3, but now it's Call of Duty 4. I cannot wait to play that damn game. There hasn't been 1 modern warfare type combat game that I have really enjoyed, and COD2 is by far my favorite WW2 game.

Crysis will be IMO if not Unreal Tournament 3. But I'm not expecting Unreal Tournament 3 till spring of next year.

those are first and foremost PC games, and I can see why they'd be left out of contention in this console forum even if the console versions are very good, they certainly can't live up to the true PC version

for many of us we have a computers for games that shine on the PC and consoles for their respective strengths - Madden on a computer just doesn't fly whereas UT on a console is far from the same

I'm taking a wait and see on Crysis. I wasn't overly fond of Far Cry... I thought it was a pretty game with pretty average gameplay. Not that I didn't like Far Cry, it just wasn't anything special. I can see Crysis turning out the same way. Now UT3... that is a game I am looking forward to. I plan to upgrade my PC around its launch.

My bad I was thinking I was posting in the PC gaming forum . Out of the games listed Grand Theft Auto 4 IMO since I know I will like it. I liked the past ones for PS2 surely they can't mess it up on the next gen systems.

I'm in the same boat between Mass Effect and COD4...but I'm going with Mass Effect only because it is a whole new game with what looks to be a fantastic story. COD4 is new to the COD series in that it is modern combat...but it is a similar gamestyle to games that I'm currently playing or have played in the last year (COD2, R6:V, GRAW1&2, etc.)

How about the new Medal of Honor game (Airborne, I think)? I'm looking forward to that especially since the gameplay won't be all that linear. Wasn't it one of the demos shown at E3 that MS said would be out in '07?
