Ok, if you define toy as something I dont need but bought, I can't count primary vehicle. But I will count vacation home.

Beach condo - 500K
Gaming Laptop 5K
Honda Shadow 5K
Sword collection - 3K for 5 "battle ready" swords
Camping gear - about 5K all told

Only impressive if you own, not the bank.

Hold on to those, some will be worth lot of money, maybe even already are.

My grandpa has a huge collection, like the original spider man still in the plastic and stuff. Not sure how much it's worth now, but I'm sure it will be worth more in years to come.

Oh, they definately are. My 2 main prized posessions are Action Comics #46 and #99 in NM condition. Each is easily 6k. I plan on selling many soon to foot my sons college tuition.

Ok own about half, bank owns half.

I own (and the bank) with crappy pics:
$550k Lake home
$50k 265 Chaparral http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/soccerman05/IMAG0050.jpg (in the background)
$11k Jetski http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/soccerman05/IMAG0196.jpg
2 rental homes worth over $300k each (tax dodge through a llc)

Ill own all of those within the next 10-25 years based on when I got loan. Same thing imo.
One of my goals in life is to have a lake-front place with jet skis .

I'd just like to mention that I appreciate you contributing to society enough to earn the kind of money that has allowed you to get such a nice place.

Now we need to count it against you when we means-test for your SS :-D.

What kind of detail can you get with that thing ( I know what material you use effects this) from your use so far?

Been interested in 3D printing and looking around at places for possibly get something printed from a model I'm working on.

I have one of the older models. The newer models get better quality than mine does. You can also get better quality through upgrades or better calibration than I've done.

This is a decent example of the quality I get.

Primary residence is lake front but not big enough for jet-skis. But it is big enough to house about 35 beavers who give me headaches daily. Advantages and disadvantages to owning a lake.

BMW M3 would be it. Though it is also my daily driver so it isn't fully a "toy".

I keep poring money into it. You can literally spend as much as a house on one if you want.

Not sure. I don't have any toys. I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe that I use for utility. It is fun to drive around as a toy (although I can't do that much because it attracts a lot of attention). That doesn't count as a toy though.

I have a Canon T2i + 50mm 1.8 that could be a toy, but really I use it for dances and events that I go to. A lot of people like to see the pictures that I get from it. So, is that a toy? I am not sure. It's probably what will be getting me discounts into future events because I can do some photography for the people at a cheap rate. So, is that still a toy? Not really.

I have a 3+ year old computer now. It's a toy in some sense of the word, but I need it for school too. It's also needed just to keep me sane. So, is that a toy? Not too much.

I guess I don't have any toys. I'm too poor to have toys.

Student. I now have a 12/hr a week part-time job at Ross. I basically break even on commuting costs + eating out before I start my shift or eating after I am done with my shift. I get about $900/month from the government for each month I am actually in school. That pays for my rent, gas, food, internet, car maintenance, and a lot of other stuff. Books and tuition are paid for, and so is car insurance.

So, no toys. Too poor for toys.
