Mozart. Dude was a hack.
The cover was soooo much better than his original. Most people don't even know this tune was his although most people have heard it in movies and the like:

Might as well said you were a clueless moronI "get" the popularity of Springsteen and have come to understand his influence, but I still say is the greatest example of someone who can do so much with essentially 0 talent.
oh gawd yes. can we throw Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd in there too?
Bruce Springsteen has made a living of singing everything he's done that day.
"I woke up this morning and put on my robe...
Walked out to get the paper and Mr. Johnson waved hi!
Went back in and fried me some eggs
I like 'em running so I can dip in my toast..."
Read that with Bruce Springsteen's voice. It can be one of his songs.
Most bands of the late 60s and 70s such as the Beatles and Pink Floyd. While they were great musicians, they are put on a pedestal by the demographic dominance of the baby boomer generation.
Again, don't flame, they were great awesome musicians, but people act like their music was beyond comparison to anything ever produced in the history of the world.
Beastie Boys. [/thread]
Led Zeppelin - Greatest rock band of all time, without question. Anyone who disagrees should do us all the favor of removing themselves from the planet to increase the collective intelligence of the human race.
Led Zeppelin is overrated. Really. They were a good band, no doubt, but best ever? Hardly. The Stones and The Who consistantly made better music than Zeppelin.
Never been much of a fan of The Who, though that comes down to personal taste, so I wouldn't say they are overrated. I'm definitely a big Stones fan.Led Zeppelin is overrated. Really. Thank you.
History will judge Springsteen as being one of the greatest folk singers of the 20th century. His music is truly electric folk for the urban population.

The Killers is by far the most overrated band to ever exist. They suck on all levels and people treat them like the next coming of Mozart. Overrated in the context of the question means that the band is given accolades they did not earn. I'm not a big fan of the Beatles, but they earned the right to be the best selling artists of all time. Elvis earned the right to be called The King. Zeppelin earned the right to be the best rock band ever. The Killers didn't do shit besides dub themselves "most influential and important band" of the decade. If they weren't smug assholes, I probably wouldn't care, but their attitude of deserved praise for essentially being a mediocre indie band earns them nothing but my severe and unmitigated hate. AC/DC, on the other hand, continues to pump out good, predictable rock albums and expects nothing from anyone other than to have a good time. Has anyone ever heard of Clutch? They suck at self promotion, but you'll never see a better live show.
In closing, fuck The Killers.
Dave Matthews Band........
Oh and the Who.
