poboys are good too. just need that crystal/red rooster magic.
Of course. Deep fry it and I'll eat basket full just like I would fried shrimp.
The hot oil will probably melt or burn off the hairs. if not, it's nothing simple lighter or torch can't take care of. You could also skewer and fire roast the tarantulas over wood fire.you need to clean the hairs off, too. tarantulas have a shit-ton of grabby hairs that will claw into the side of your throat.
I can't keep shrimp down long enough to determine if I even like it.I wanna add shrimp to my list. Bleh
Are you eating really cheap lobster or really expensive shrimp? I can get a lb of Gulf shrimp at wegmans for like 15 a lb. Lobster you have to factor in the weight of shell... I avoid to eat shrimp from se Asia if possibleLobster and shrimp prices are not all that different. And I don't like warm water lobsters and won't pay any money for it. Lobsters need to be the cold water variety.
this thread is getting gross.
I bought 21/25 head on gulf shrimp for about $4/lb yesterday. $15 seems nuts. Are you eating really cheap lobster or really expensive shrimp? I can get a lb of Gulf shrimp at wegmans for like 15 a lb. Lobster you have to factor in the weight of shell... I avoid to eat shrimp from se Asia if possible

damn, that milt looks quite tasty. and then I googled what it is...I guess I'd still try it if it's supposed to taste good
Shirako is awesome. Not overrated, because no one even knows what it is.damn, that milt looks quite tasty. and then I googled what it is...I guess I'd still try it if it's supposed to taste good
dude, how are you saying that lobster and shrimp prices are the same then??Frozen U/15 wild Gulf shrimp is about $17 /lb at Costco. Frozen cold water lobster tail is about $20 /lb at Costco. Sometimes you can get lucky and find U/15 shrimps that's really U8 or even U6. Lobster tail shell is thicker so it's probably about 40% more expensive than the gulf shrimp.
I don't cook with any farmed shrimp at home. Just like I don't eat tilapia fish at home. It's funny how people won't eat fresh seafood from the ocean because they think it's gross but will eat farmed tilapia or shrimp. They're basically paying and eating shit and feces.
I never said the prices are the same. I said it's not all that different. You can find cheaper or more expensive versions of both. Just like I don't think king crab leg prices are not all that different from lobster prices.dude, how are you saying that lobster and shrimp prices are the same then??
Awesome? You might be the first person to say it. I eat it because I usually eat everything but never once the thought of awesome come across my mind when eating it. Fish eggs? Yeah. Milt? No.Shirako is awesome. Not overrated, because no one even knows what it is.
