You are just eating at the wrong places. My vote is Japanese ramen. It's good but the pork, chicken, or soy broth does nothing for me.

Heard about Pho on Food network. Described as delicate but nuanced broth of 25 hours prep. Served with bean sprouts, basil leave and fish sauce on side.
Great vegetable beef soup but I has ready for dinner afterwards. (Damn my American palate and appetite.)

Sriracha's /ok/, just waaay overrated. I'd rather have it on a burger than ketchup, but I'd be fine never having it again in my life. I like almost every other hot sauce better.I wonder if anything alive other than human would consider eating that twice.
I have yet to be wowed by caviar
Truffles are good but not $15/gram good.
absolutely it's bacon. Don't get me wrong, it is good. I eat it on occasion and usually enjoy it. But if you believe what you see on the interweb you'd think that bacon simultaneously provides instant orgasms and doesn't make you a complete fatass. But it actually does neither of these, and is really just "ok."

Can't stand this hipster, overhyped crap. It doesn't even taste spicy, and the rest of it is just bad. And these morons are the millennials who say Tabasco sucks. While Tabasco isn't my favorite, it is leagues above Siracha, because Tabasco actually has flavor.Sriracha
I agree with Lobster. Way overpriced for what, for many many years, was rightfully considered cheap peasant food. Hell, prisoners used to protest when served lobster and iirc, it was deemed cruel and unusual punishment.
There is some vile northeastern Lobster Cabal that probably fixes prices and controls this delusion that Lobster is premium (think DeBeers, but with awful New England accents)

Just trendy, people eat it because they think they're supposed to like it, not because they actually like it.
The above statement is one of the most idiotic things I've read in a long time. Sure, people put a sauce on their food and claim they like it because it's "trendy". "Pass me the Sriracha. This stuff is great, isn't it?"
And they love caviar and truffles because they're expensive? What nonsense. Is that what they teach kids now in America's trailer parks? "You don't want that. That's rich people food. They just showin' off. You want another bowl of SpaghettiOs?"
