Bo Jackson. I cringed when he was playing for the sox

would be interesting to watch McGahee w/o the injury as well

herb score

rookie year struck out 245 and went 16-10. next year struck out 263 and went 20-9. year after that hit with a line drive in the eyeball early in the season and missed the rest of the season and most of the next season. when he returned he was never the same and the most strikeouts he could ever amass in a season was 147.

Ken Griffey Jr by FAR when it comes to baseball. Just imagine how many homers with that great swing of his he could have had by now if he was healthy all these years.

BTW, something lots of people don't realize about Bo is he made the All Star game in two professional sports. Who else has done that?
He was the MLB All Star game MVP in 1989.

And he made the Pro Bowl while not even playing the whole season due to baseball and football overlapping.

Not to mention that Heisman Trophy he won at Auburn.

Griffey has had a great career, and had a nice season this year...he really shouldn't be in the discussion...yes, he missed some time, but so what, he still is a hall of fame player

Paul Molitor probably missed out on 500-600 hits with all his injuries, but he's still HOF too

Why did someone put Dominique Wilkins in here? His injury was near the end of his career anyway.

Bill Walton's NBA numbers would have been much better if not for a series of leg injuries..but Sam Bowie? Come on - he was stiff without the injuries too..terrible draft pick, period..

Ralph Sampson had a nice career, not sure why he's in here either.

Kurt Warner. After the aliens stopped anal probing him his career just fell apart.

Seriously, not the best football player ever, but should be respected.

Brian Bosworth - Seahawks: One of the most dominating college linebackers, looked like 'roids overtaxed his bones

Curt Warner - Seahawks: Lightning quick and talented running back. More than 1400 yards his rookie season behind a mediocre O-Line. Knee injury and he was never the same.

Definately Bo Jackson tops this list. Tony Conigilaro is a good call. As a Houston fan I can recall Dickie Thon. Pretty much the same story as Tony above. He was headed to a really nice career till his vision was taken away from him by an errant pitch.

Here's the stats on Dickie Thon. In 1984 he was hbp that ruined his vision. You can see that he was headed to a really nice career before that happened.
