I just added water to my iron for the first time and used the steam function resulting in quite possibly the most superbly ironed shirt ever. I can 100% truthfully say this has been one of my most life changing moments (for the better). The effect is so satisfying that it is probably just above discovering sex but still below mowing a lawn that really needs it. Really looking forward to the future now.

Has anyone else had a recent event/discovery/moment that has had a profound effect on your life?

I recently discovered that someone's existence can be so menial that they find pure joy in using an iron the way it was supposed to be used in the first place. Makes me really appreciate all that I have, and I will probably have a better attitude when I reflect on it

My entire life I went without putting butter on my pancakes with syrup. My outlook on pancakes changed the day I decided to try butter, about a year ago.

Dude, wtf. Pancakes are just a vehicle for butter and syrup; must have both! French toast sucks ass no matter how much butter and syrup you put on it though.

I hope you used distilled water or you may get a bad surprise when ironing a shirt in the near future. It could happen when you are in a hurry and ironing a white shirt. You will not be happy.

This except for the attitude part. We all know mine sucks.

Actually, I agree with you but I'm waaaay too lazy for that and I do 90% of the ironing. After the iron is hot, just give the steam button a couple of pumps before ironing. That spits out the loose stuff. I would make a good wife. Any takers...cheap my wife says?

A few I think. I found ATOT yesterday, and find it much more amusing and less invasive than Facebook.

I discovered putting a chai bag in my coffee with cream tastes delicious.

Also I bought a weird, square-style rotating curling iron like I've never seen before, still don't know how to use it, but it might fair well in the long run.

I recently discovered that Star Trek TNG is actually pretty good, once you get past the first few episodes and Riker gets a beard.

I have also discovered that my job is far less exciting than I once thought, even a short time ago. Even for huge nerds, my job is not that interesting.

Skip the nutmeg, use sugar with the cinnamon in a shaker. Darn good waffles there!

I complained that when I travel for work I hate ironing my pants / shirts when I get to the hotel.

Someone told me to just hang them up in the bathroom and run the shower on hot for 15 minutes or so. Now THAT is a game changer.

Try making it with Greenlee's cinnamon bread. Add some fried bananas and real maple syrup on top.
