I forgot about those 2. Yeah Savage 2 had been free for a long time now. The concept is fantastic and the game can be a lot of fun, but it never got widespread attention. They are doing a much better job with Heroes of Newerth, they have hundreds of thousands of beta players for that one.

Riddick EFBB. I didn't know this existed until I saw it at Big Lots for $6. The game was very engaging, and it was one of the best gaming values I've had.

Far Cry 1 PC. It's definitely better then Half Life 2.

the multiplayer on SOF2 is damn near perfect. one of the best MP games, EVER.

YES! SoF2 had the best MP ever. nothing has even come close to how fun that was.

Payback was not underrated. It just sucked compared to SoF2 (or heck, any other FPS). I had some fun with it even though it sucked, but its still a shitty game.

Like I said, I enjoyed it more than Call of Duty 4. It wasn?t as good as SoF 2, but it was still fun.

YES! SoF2 had the best MP ever. nothing has even come close to how fun that was.

My first time playing the MP demo at a LAN party was when I fell in love. I was ridiculously good at that game. I sniped a clan mate with a knife one time, the most epic kill I've ever gotten in a game. It was from so far away and it pegged him right between the eyes. I was saddened to see so few servers the last time I went online in that game.

Europa Universalis III is a great game that very few people have played, at least in my experience. The bare graphics don't attract much attention, but it's a very solid strategy game. The game offers a uniquely grand scale and the developers pays excellent attention to historical and geographic detail, especially in often neglected Central Asia.

I'm not quite sure I agree. Plenty of people hated it (not me of course, but plenty of people) so I would not say it had universal acclaim.

I would say it got plenty of attention and theres no way in hell you could call it underrated.
Same with Supreme Commander. Lots of love. Lots of hate. But its impossible to be underrated. People who hated the game did not dismiss it as uninteresting, they just didnt like the way it played.

Well Half Life 2 is rated number 1 at metacritic and Far Cry PC is number 108. So I say it's undrated:laugh:

What got me about Far Cry, besides the awesome game, was that it came out of nowhere with no budget while HL2, I think, bought their place among reviewers. Buying ads in magazines and webspace etc.

I also can't believe how many games are rated higher then System Shock II

I would submit that Baldurs Gate 2 is underrated simply because most gamers dont know about it. Its very popular with a small crowd and thats all. The general gaming community didnt embrace it or even understand it.

Do YOU understand what the word UNDERATED means?... as opposed to unpopular. Dead Space is a great creepy game and it's rated 280, or something like that at meta. It's under RATED.
