I loved Prey. It was one of those games that completely surprises me by it's quality because I assume it's NOT great because of the lack of hype. Games like Far Cry, Riddick Butchers Bay, Republic Commando, Dead Space. I actually prefer games that have NO hype and yet still have quality over games that over hype and turn out to be garbage or lack lustre like Doom3.

Mirror's Edge. I thought the gameplay through the first half (until the ninjas chase you) was fantastic. It was a great-looking, colorful game as well. Really neat effects with a physics card as well.

X3: Reunion. X2's combat sucked, but they improved on it quite a bit. Absolutely beautiful graphics too and it runs quite well.

I picked up medal of honor, airborne off steam and just wanted to report my thoughts.

I'm running a 1.5 year old vista 64 system with 2GB, 1.8GHz Core2 whatever, and a 8800GTS.

First the game installs just fine off steam... whatever problems some folks were having with MOH on vista64, they seem to be cleared up.

All I can say is version 1.3 MOH, airborne is absolutely worth the 10 bucks... not a ton of content but the content is really good and the graphics/sound, game play, and immersion are really good. Easy mode is pretty easy and hard mode is really challenging. But dropping into hot zones in classic WWII theater airborne missions is really, really fun.

I'd give it an 8.5 out of 10... if it had more content I'd give it a 9. Yet again I think this game is a cautionary tale as to why not to release games before they are fully baked... this woulda sold pretty damn well IF it was version 1.3 or close on release.

Do you understand the point to the thread?

Do YOU understand what the word UNDERATED means?... as opposed to unpopular. Dead Space is a great creepy game and it's rated 280, or something like that at meta. It's under RATED.

Rank is not the same as Rating. And metacritic is a terrible source. Gamerankings gives you an average score based on all available reviews. With an 88% average I'd say it was highly rated. It also got lots of hype and a movie. No where near underrated.

Have you seen the new Starsiege at all? I alpha'd it a couple of years ago so I don't know if it has made any progress at all. I didn't like the direction and never enjoyed Tribes, but Earthsiege 2 was the first game I ever got on Windows 95. I loved that game.

No. I bought it on my P3 450 with TNT 2 graphics and it ran unplayably slow despite the machine matching the recommended requirements. It pissed me off so much I instantly banished that game to my "worst of the worst" pile.

Wow, that's almost blasphemy! SupCom > C&C/RA/SC/TA? That's just absurd!

Rise of Nations was the best MP RTS IMO, and highly underrated. It never had a big following but the gameplay was just perfect.

I played Earthsiege 2 and didnt care that much for it. But later on I'd get Mechwarrior 3 and 4 and be very happy.

I'll also vote for Oni. It is one of my old favorites that I've played probably 8+ times. It's really enjoyable and I would love to see a sequel of some kind.

Betrayal at Antara was the first used game I ever bought at gamestop (I think it was EB at the time) around 2001.

I was in my graphics whore stage, I guess, because I played it for 10 minutes and returned it. Couldn't get over the primitive visuals.

It's hilarious to think about; I now enjoy much older games with worse graphics for their gameplay.

thank you for that, i just got in on titan quest gold to see what everyone is raving about. gotta be worth the $10 at the very least.

btw, what's with the low metacritic score on this game? only got a 77, but the expansion pack got 80.
