Most Valuable Cracker Contest: Year 3

I just wanted to make my votes official and use my other three, even though there are so many more than five worthy of votes.

Dave McOwen - for what he's been put through and will have to endure in the months to come.

DanC - for his tireless efforts on Dave's behalf.

Soni - for his wonderful stats site. I couldn't put together the races without it. And besides, he's just a great guy, too.

Wiz - I have seen him go out of his way to help people so many times that I've lost count. He also deserves the "great guy" classification.

Ray - Just for being Rowdy Ray. He's good for at least one belly laugh a day, but can also make some of the most profound and wise statements you've ever heard just when you need to hear them the most.

There are so many who are deserving for what they do in the forums and for the team: Hellburner, Smokeball, Orange Kid, JW, Sukhoi. And the members who are just monster crunchers: Robor, Grant, Hack, IsOs (and great guys, too). And some who are just great people and fun to have around: Engineer, Gul Dukat, Tarca, ElFenix, Baldy18, Majiq, Networkman, and far, far too many more to list...

Oh god, where do I start!? There are so many people on the TeAms who deserve to be nominated for MVC, and HVCs as well.

Most of these nominations will be Seti based, as that is my main project here, and i know about the people involved well


So, in no order (apart from the order they come into my head ) here are my nominations (will probably be more than 5, i will look and narrow down later if needed):

Dave McOwen - He has gone through a lot this year, and no man deserves any of what he has had to go through. He is someone to be proud to have on the TeAm. I feel greatly for you and Donna, your lives have been messed up too much already, i just hope that they are not messed up any more.

DanC - His support and help for Dave McOwen has been brilliant. He has dedicated a part of his life to helping Dave, by setting up www.freemcowen.com, and recently exposing the goings on by the Georgia Govt.

Soni - For providing a great Seti stats site, and hosting the very enjoyable Mini Team Races which get all participating rooting to get more assimilations and squeeze every last MHz out of their machines!

Orange Kid - For providing the TeAm proxy for Seti, for those (all to often) times when the Berkely, which also feeds our stats addiction

Smokeball - Another great stats site, and always there to welcome new members to the TeAm, giving his personal touch to them all

Grant/Eponymous - A huge WU cruncher, and gave such great commentry in the original and Thanksgiving MTRs

OhioDude - Where would we all be without the daily fix of Race Stats and Milestones, along with the "Lame race commentry generated by the same goofball who always generates it"

Quoted from Mucman in the SRL today: "OD - thanks to this race I have upped my production to 16WU/day from 9WU/day! Thanks for giving me the incentive to start recruiting again!"

This is what all the races and threads like this are about

Tarca - MTR has given him the urge to assimilate all the P4s at work, and move up from a couple of WUs a day to many many more

Pie Derro - A new Seti searcher in the past few months, but is already moviung up in the ranks very quickly and overtaking all in sight!

ShotgunSteve - Another big WU cruncher, moving up in the ranks. His recruitment threads in OT and GH during the races always seem to give us an influx of new members

Sukhoi - His help thread has answered so many questions that were always asked when I joined back in February this year, he has cut down the clutter a bit!

I could go through and name the whole TeAm rosters, because the TeAms would not be the same without the members

HellBurner : For his daily Team Stats. He havent missed many in the last year
JWMiddleton : I dont think anyone have more home-computers running, thats what I call dedication
OhioDude : Without his daily stats/comment I dont feel quite awake, hate it when he is late
OrangeKid : For his Stats site, his SetiQueue and his great weekly seti-stats
Smokeball : For his 1PM stats tread, his daily welcome messages for new members, and of course his valuable assistance with the MTR Race handicaping. Also a very nice person.

Honorable mention :

DarkMajiq : For running the latest daily MTR race treads. Great job
Grant : Great daily output in Seti. Him being responsble for the MTR Races getting started, and for being an altogether nice guy
Robor : Well his position talk for it self. Great job Robor
Sukhoi : His great Seti help tread, and for alway having time to help someone.
Wiz : Always helpfull and willing to go the extra mile for helping a new member

Well, I gues that like some other in this tread, this is quite Seti oriented..
These are the persons I mostly read/hear from/about, but the rest of the TeAm, be it RC5, OGR, ECCp or FH (hope I got them all) also deserve a big thanks for their dedication to the Team.
Wish I could have mentioned you all...
