Picking 5 Top TeAm Members is a tough task and one I don't really agree with, but my nominations follow:

Smokeball
OhioDude
MasterTech
Robor
Hellburner

No further explainations are needed for the names I've selected, but there are so many more who deserve to be acknowledged, but fall out of my top 5.

Please forgive my audacity in voting for this honor. I am so new to DC that I am only beginning to get acquainted with all of the impressive activities going on here and the people behind them.

1. m0ti Any of you who do know me, know that Distributed Folding is near and dear to my heart, so my first vote MUST go to him for sticking with this fledgling team and giving us the foundation to support the growth we are seeing and hope to continue seeing. Thanks m0ti!

2. Smokeball It took about only a week or so for me to begin to recognize this name and see how much he gives to the TeAm community

3. joinT Ok, joinT is the quiet type, but he is the very first DCer I met. He was the guy that helped me learn the how to's and offered entheusiastic support to me. While I chose not to stay on that particular project, his encouragement is what interested me enough in DC to continue trying new projects until I found my home with DF. When he learned I was trying to do the ATWE thing, he even pulled a machine off his favorite project to support the race just to help out a buddy! Thank You joinT. You are a class act!

4. FoBoT He came to us (DF) from FreeDC and literally rescued our project not long after TheMagicMan had to take a bow. FoBoT gets my vote for the raw power he has brought to TA (I see your name everywhere man!) and the spirit of cooperation, sportsmanship and support he brought with him.

5. Robor Another powerhouse! I don't know how many projects he is crunching now, but he is all over the place... but that's only a small part of why he gets my vote. I think Robor has "Sportsman" tatooed on his forehead. I don't think I have ever seen a post from him that wasn't friendly, encouraging and glowing in the spirit of what I believe the DC community should be all about. KUDOS to you Robor!

6. my sixth vote is going to have to be a split between GhettoFob, CrazySaint and Baldy18. Yeah, I know I can't do this but these guys... well I just like them. They helped me pitch ATWE without ever being asked to do so and have always treated me like a friend. Thank you guyz....

(Oh oh..... too many votes..... does this mean I'm gonna get a speeding ticket? )

First, a sincere "thank you" once again for the votes I've received and for the honor you gave me last year.

My votes will undoubtedly be slanted towards SETI also, since that is my project of choice.

Smokeball - The glue that sticks the team together.
Mastertech01 - For what he's done for the D2OL team and the enjoyable presence he brings to this forum.
Soni - For his great stats page. I simply couldn't do the races without his website.
Robor - Number 1 in SETI. What else can you say? He's da man!
Micron - Another TA-Seti stats master with his daily milestones thread.

C'mon! Five's not enough! Too many great people get left out...

Okay I have thought a great deal about this and here are my votes:

Smokeball - In the last few months I have had the opportunity to see some of the behind the scenes stuff that Greg does for this team that people never know about. It is true that there are a great many things he does that we are all aware of, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. He is extremely dedicated and devoted to making this team as successful as it can be.

David McOwen - In a time when many others would have thought only of themselves, David has worked hard to help many others in our community. He has been instrumental with the job networking thread and with organizing help for members when they need it. Most of all he has provided a great example for others to follow of handling adversity with dignity and grace.

OhioDude - He keeps the interest going with the great race organization, stats and commentary. I can say without a doubt that the Seti project would not be nearly as successful for the TeAm if it weren't for him.

MereMortal - A driving force in making the TeAm diversified and interested in many projects. Great with stats and the founder for TACO.

RaySun2Be - Another person who exemplifies the TeAm community spirit. He has taken the lead on many of the threads that assist other TeAm members and has always been willing to collect money for the causes.....wait...did all the money get to the right people... (j/k)

It has been difficult coming up with those 5 and if you were to ask me again tomorrow I would probably change it some, but I need to get my vote in sometime.

This is why I hated voting for an MVP -- I knew I'd leave someone off the list and I sure did (sorry David). David has gone through so much because of DC and instead of being bitter he's still he's a huge part of the TeAm. Not only that, he even has a friend in Dr. Anderson @ Berkeley. Amazing!

Oh my....who to vote for

I had so much trouble doing this last year...it's just wayyy too hard to pick just 5 out of the thousands of people on all the various TeAms, because without just one person on our TeAms, it just wouldn't be the same.

Now, for those who I think might deserve the title of MVC or HVC's

I apologise in advance to those who I do not list here, believe me this is going to be hard to pick just five.

Smokeball - Greg's dedication and leadership on the Seti TeAm is brilliant, and I feel that he is a great asset to Seti@home in general.
David McOwen - I think we all know the reason why, after all he's been through, he's still here with us.
RoyC - Roy is currently going through a rough patch in his life, and he has asked us as a Team, as friends, to help him out, and we are, I think his dedication and "never give up" attitude is brilliant Good luck, Roy!
LANMAN - For organising and hosting the TeAm beowulf, we may not get any 3.03 WUs done on it, but all projects in the future will be able to benifit from it
[/b]MereMortal[/b] - Dave has assisted in providing many Teams with stats, ECCp-109, D²OL and Seventeen Or Bust For this I think he deserves a vote for MVC/HVC

This is a tough call but i'll give it a whirl.
I've only been with the TeAm for less than 6 months & have only run SETI, so i'm not as familair with the other projects as i'd like.

Smokeball- a true TeAm leader.
Dave McOwen- I think Crazee summed it up best in his above post.
MereMortal- Anyone who starts a group like TACO deserves mention. And his stats page isn't too shabby either!

I'll edit in 2 more later.

Season's Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, I respectfully abstain from voting as I feel as some others do that there are simply too many worthy contenders for said title (myself being one of the few who has done nothing to be among that very large group! ) and that this election only serves to create a virtual caste system among TeAm members. I know this election will proceed despite my minority of one opinion but remember me when there is a recount demanded due to hanging chads or slow forum reloads for non-subscribers or stuffin' da ballot box or somethin' Happy Holidays to TeAm Anandtech!

Of course I am in FL.

I used to have friends who lived in Pensacola Beach Is it merely ironic that you crunch SETI and live near Gulf Breeze where everyone sees UFOs?

"Freewolf" is really "Ed Walters" in disguise.
