The Ultima GTR may be $27k if you can do absolutely everything for yourself. However, the bare rolling chassis form is $89,000. You still need to add a SBC engine ($5k to $20k, depending on options), and a Porsche G50 tranny ($1k or so) to that, and then put it in (install is probably $5k or so to have a shop do it). Depending on the value of your time, it may be worth it to do it yourself. Unbelievable car though.

100% agreed. I just happen to be one of the few who could do all the work myself, including the motor buildup. I think i'd skip the standard SBC and use an LT5 though. (which is a derivative of an SBC) 4 cams > 1 cam. 32valves > 16.

Back to the point though, even if you factor in what it would cost for someone else to do all the work, the total cost is around half that of the Skyline.

In fact that makes me want to buy one, do a buildup to learn how everything goes together, then charge say, half of what the shop charges to do buildups for other people. I could make a fortune.

When your Ferrari Lambo and 65's are in the shop because they have so many problems id laugh from my Jap car. (I could never purchase this in a million years but if i could i would over those other vehicles)
