Motherboard and Win2k Question....

Sorry everyone, this is stupid, but i do't know what can i do.
I have a computer, Asus A7V with Win 2k installed on it.
If i get a new motherboard, i take out the old one and replace it with the new one, keeping everything else intact, same hard drive same everything. When i boot, will i have to install another OS or the OS is already installed in the Hard Drive.

As long as the chipset on the motherboard is not significantly different, you can keep the existing OS on the hard drive, and you will not need to reinstall.

The only thing will be drivers. You will have to update drivers for the motherboard, but those come on cd anyway. I think it should be ok, but i recommond reinstalling though.

actually, you SHOULDN'T install the drivers that come with your new board. Chances are that you have later drivers already installed. If you do feel like installing drivers though, you should get the latest 4in1's which almost definitely don't come with your new board. you can get those online at Viatech.com, but i'm sure you already know that
