Hi I currently an in the market for a new motherboard for my rig since it's not as stable as id like it to be now. My current specs are as follows:
X2 5000+ Black edition
Asus KN9-SLI board
Sapphire HD3870
Corsiar XMS PC-6400 Cas4
Antec 520w Modstream
WD 640gb Dual platter HD
The problem with my computer right now is that 3 of the USB ports on the back are no longer working stable. Only one more port is getting consistent responses from my USB devices. Also, after just booting up my computer and putting it under load (from games), my computer will come to a crawl and my mouse and keyboard stop working. it eventually freezes completely, forcing me to reboot. I introduced the video card and CPU 2 years after i built this rig originally. I am mainly looking for a ~$100 that will net me good speeds with my cpu currently. SLI is not needed. Any advice is appreciated.
EDIT: it should also be noted that my computer comes to a crawl only after i turn it on. If the computer has been on for a few hours it never goes from slow motion to freezing until i turn it off for a while and use it again later.
