Motherboard for FX8120?

It appears I'll be able to purchase an 8120 locally to upgrade my aging BE-2350 based linux server.

My use cases are:
Web host (Nginx/SQL)
Media host (flexraid raid-f across a shit ton of drives with some spare adaptec sata cards)
VMs (Virtualbox as a service)
Additional services as needed
No overclocking

I'm leaning towards a Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 for the price or perhaps an Asrock 970 board as they're both cheap.

Am I good to go with either? Any warranty considerations I should know about?

Yea any decent 970 board shoud be fine. Just make sure it can support the 140watt CPUs and you will be fine.

$100's a little high, but not bad. It's competitive.

Something to keep in mind, there are a number of 760 boards that the manufacturers have reworked to be AM3+ compatible. I personally ran an FX 8150 on an MSI 760GM-P34(FX).

You don't have to spend 990FX money on a board, if you don't want to.

Yea $100 is competitive, I'm certain I could bargain down but it's from HWC, a local enthusiast forum and it's BNIB. So I'm ok with that

The board I'm going for is this Gigabyte http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_1207_1205_335&item_id=042705, $77 after IR and MIR which I always do. It's not 990FX money at all I think. I just wish I could find one used for cheaper, but most 970 boards are dropping price at the retail level causing a loss at the consumer re-sale level.
