Motherboard Power Switch Connector Problem

Today when I tried to turn my newly upgraded computer on for the first time, nothing happened. I realized the Power Switch/LED connector has to be wired differently to work with my new mobo. The connector is that little black ah heck that plugs in on the bottom right corner of the mobo. The little wires in the connector have so far proven too hard to extract. Does anyone know if I can rewire this, and if so what tool should I use?

It would help to post what m'board this is. Use a pin or needle to release the tiny lock on the pin in the plug, then slip the pin out out of the plug.
You don't need to unlock the tiny brass lock to insert the electrical pin back in to the plug.

Electrically speaking, what are you trying to accomplish ? The connector only has 2 wires and it makes no difference which is in which hole.

That's ^ correct, it's a simple switch. You can turn the machine on with a screwdriver by shorting the 2 posts. I find that a button is usually easier, tho.
