Ok, I pulled a processor off another board that read it as an AMD 2000+ 1.66 ghz. Well, I tried putting that processor on an MSI MS6330 (K7T Turbo2) motherboard. It read it as 1.25 ghz. So I tried updating the bios and after that, it read the processor as a 1250. I even tried overclocking it, now it reads the processor as an AMD 1600+ 1.37 ghz. -_-
another thing..
old motherboard: cpu temperature was around 48°f (read it as an AMD 2000+ 1.66ghz) - default
new motherboard: cpu temperature is around 38°f (reading it as an AMD 1600+ 1.37ghz) - overclocked
btw: the bios update said it supported up to 2600+
Anyone know whats going on? Why is it reading the processor at a less speed?
thanks
