motherboard recommendation? a64

pretty much decided on an a64 venice 3200+ system... i dont plan to OC initially, down the road i want to be able to and prolly will. i looked at the DFI ultra-D but it looks like it is pretty picky on value RAM.. (i.e. burning in period of ocz value vx and bad with corsair). if you can change my mind on this i still might get the dfi i want a motherboard that will get me up and running and i could put some inexpensive ram in it. price is a concern.. but so is stability.

can anyone comment on the following motherboards?

I'm running the MSI K8N Neo4-F. It was my first build and I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of assembly and stability. I have the 3000 Winchester with a WD Raptor and EVGA 6600GT video. I went with OCZ Performance memory (1 GB stick) and loaded the SATA drivers and Window XP Home. I used an Antec case. I used a Blue Storm 500 power supply by Fortron. I assembled it, hit the powr button, Bingo. Loaded SATA drivers and XP and I have not looked back since. No bugs, no problems, no issues. Just smooth running. Hope this helps.

is the extra money of the neo4 platinum worth it in your opinion?

I would say No on the MSI.

Many people seem to really like the Epox, so that may be worth the extra money. I personally have never used their motherboards. Chaintech is known for their cheap, solid preforming motherboards, and if you want to save a buck, I would definetely reccomend this to you.

My Epox nForce3 Ultra board has been wonderful so far. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

hmm read good things about the epox so far... do you know if the EPoX EP-9NPA+Ultra will run with corsair value ram? anyone else have experience with this board and cheaper ram? read OK stuff about the chaintech vnf4.. seems like there is a cpu voltage issue where u cant set it b/w ~1.4-1.6

i would say the msi over the chaintech or epox.
