Motherboard RMA advice

My Asus motherboard just ate it. I need to RMA it. I have all the shipping info, but my question is how should I pack it? I no longer have the original packaging, and I don't have a antistatic bag big enough. Is there anything else that I can do (keeping in mind normal household packing materials). Can I just put it in a plastic bag and box it with styrofoam peanuts? Any advice will be appreciated.

No. It will probably be returned to you unrepaired. You will need to put the board in an anti-stat bag and use something other than standard peanuts to pack the board as untreated styrofoam peanuts are loaded with static. Your local copy shop (Kinkos, Mailboxes etc.) may have the supplies you need or any other places that ship packages. You may also be able to get some shipping materials from a local computer shop. As compudog said, try a local shop if you have one around. I had to rma a board to abit the other day, and I didn't have the box or anti static bag. Went to a shop and asked for one and they gave it to me(told them I would be back to buy something)

I returned a board to ASUS wrapped in a plastic grocery bag and some plastic bubble stuff I got at USPS office, they didn't seem to mind.

You could wrap it in something that would be anti-static. Wouldn't newspaper work? Then wrap plastic around that and pad it to protect it.

Seems their RMA process isn't the greatest. Try contacting them.
